  1. I think it'd be cool, and I'd probably go to a couple of games a year (in Madison). That being said, I follow soccer/football a decent amount and I enjoy the game, which I'd say isn't true for the majority of Wisconsinites. If MLS ever went ahead with changing their schedule to match most of the other leagues Fall-Spring instead of Spring-Fall, it'd be nearly impossible to draw a crowd.
  2. There is also another Stitch n' Pitch bobble on June 21. "The first 1,000 needle artists to buy tickets and attend Stitch N’ Pitch Night at Miller Park will receive a free special edition Brewers Stitch N’ Pitch Bobble Head. Tickets must be purchased in advance."
  3. Oh no... I said that whole intern needing to be fired thing as a joke... now I feel insulted and part of me wants someone fired... it's the Minnesota state capitol... http://static.panoramio.com/photos/original/17164340.jpg
  4. I didn't think of it until today at work... and ESPN there is disabled... so I checked ESPN3 tonight and they still had the replay up... Here's the building! http://images.yuku.com/image/png/3d92567f977763367e893aa80683bb957681d0a.png Obviously not the Wisconsin State Capitol, and also obviously not in Madison. Some ESPN intern needs to be fired! Still trying to figure out where it is though...
  5. Was it a dome similar to the capitol? Any chance it was the Overture Center? http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2154/2108644575_252e8d79dc.jpg?v=0
  6. Personally I haven't, but my mom has won two trips to Orlando, one in 2008 and one in 2009. The first was a Dick's Sporting Goods sweepstakes for ESPN the weekend, which was pretty cool, but we found out on such short notice that we couldn't go for the entire length of the trip. It included the flights, two $500 gift cards to Dick's, a room at the Beach Club (really nice hotel on Disney property), and park passes. I proposed to my now wife on that trip, so the best part had nothing to do with my love of sports. The second trip basically only got us the flights and a few nights at the Gaylord Palms. That trip was hard on me mentally, I had been laid off 3 weeks prior to that and couldn't enjoy myself at all...
  7. As seems to be the consensus, Hoffman will have a 600 saves commemorative one, I'd guess it'll be him with his arms raised straight up, as seen in this picture. I almost doubt that Mark A. will have one, he doesn't seem like the type of owner who would want one of him mass produced. I can see Selig though. Just as long as it's not Ned Yost or Ken Macha...
  8. Gallardo (I will be very upset if he isn't one) Wolf Hoffman 600 (This has to be a lock) Racing Sausage (It'd be Hot Dog's turn in the rotation if they want to start over, and they're popular enough that I'm guessing they will) Weeks/Hart (One of the two, it's a toss up in my book, Weeks if he signs some form of extension, otherwise Hart) Axford I think it's too soon for guys like Cain/Lucroy/Escobar, but because of how well he pitched Axford will be one.
  9. I would say by 6:30 or so to be safe. I dug up the gamesheet from the Lincoln bobblehead last year and the stated attendance was ~5700. I'm taking the afternoon off from work so I can make it over to Milwaukee without worrying about getting there on time. As far as seats, section 200 will be right behind the benches, so you'd have some obstructed views being so low. I'm probably going to wait until a week or so before the games to buy tickets. I prefer sitting a little higher and being able to see the flow of the game. If I had my way I'd sit in the front row of the upper level, but that's just me.
  10. First 5,000. I didn't get the Lincoln bobblehead last year because I was stuck on the interstate coming from Madison... Flight for life shut the interstate down in both directions.
  11. According to my fiancee it finally arrived today, since I doubt this is the one I won yesterday... I will have one to trade.
  12. Yeah, that's the weird part... I'm gonna give it until Saturday, and then give up. I managed to win the same bobble in another auction today. So if they both come, I'll be looking to trade one. Anybody need a Prince Fielder Nashville Sounds bobblehead?
  13. I doubt they move solely because they don't really have anywhere to go. From what I can find, the only metropolitan area in North America with more people that doesn't already have a team (or two) is Montreal. I think it's safe to assume no one is going back there. Portland is close behind Tampa/St. Pete in size, so I guess that's an option, but they already have the Portland Beavers AAA club. Below is a list of markets that already have a professional sports team other than one from MLB. (I've left the Brewers in just for comparison. I realize the numbers are arbitrary because someone is deciding on the boundary, but they are relavent to the discussion I feel.) 3,426,350 Montreal, QC 2,968,806 Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN 2,395,997 Tampa, FL 2,265,223 Portland, OR 1,986,965 Vancouver, BC 1,796,857 Sacramento, CA 1,689,572 Milwaukee Brewers 1,644,561 Orlando, FL 1,607,486 Indianapolis, IN 1,592,383 San Antonio, TX 1,540,157 Columbus, OH 1,499,293 Charlotte, NC 1,337,726 New Orleans, LA 1,333,914 Salt Lake City, UT 1,231,311 Nashville, TN 1,187,941 Raleigh, NC 1,170,111 Buffalo, NY 1,135.614 Memphis, TN 1,100,491 Jacksonville, FL 1,063,664 Ottawa, ON
