  1. Don't trade ANYONE. Just go out and sign a free agent starting pitcher. A guy like AJ Burnett or Derek Lowe maybe. Go hard after someone like that and then have Gallardo Parra Bush Free agent Give Villy another try maybe? Closer should be McClung As for trading Prince already for a pitcher? I don't care if you get Halladay, who the hell would bat cleanup then for the Brewers? He's got arbitration until 2011 and to trade him with 3 years left would be dumb, just dumb. He'll only get better!! As for Hardy, why the hell would you put him at second base? Waste a good arm like that at second? No, no try him at third and bring up Escobar to possibly bat leadoff maybe? I would also move Gamel to the out field this spring training/AAA and grove him in left and start grooming Braun for CF, he's athletic enough to do it. And from everything I hear about Gamel is that he is horrible defensively at third and that is the last thing this club needs. SS- Escobar 2B- Weeks (he will see more fastballs) LF- Braun 1B- Prince 3B- Hardy RF- Hart CF- Cameron(maybe or?!?!) C- Kendall Pitcher
  2. I would almost agree but you just can't do that. The only thing i want him to do with the rotation is to move the rotation up after the September 22 day off. So then the final series you have CC pitching the first game of the series and then the playoff rotation would be set also. I don't think pitching CC on 3 days rest the rest of the year would do his arm any good and when we make it to the playoffs, i don't want his arm to be completely dead. He'll get 3 more starts and i think that will be fine.
  3. HOW DO YOU LET SHOUSE FACE 3 STRAIGHT LEFTIES? HE MUST BE BRAIN DEAD, that is just pathetic coaching and again he's not putting his team int he best position to win the ball game and it came back and bit us in the ass..... just dont understand how dumb someone could be.
  4. if Yost calls himself such a splits guy take this one. Brad Lidge vs Left ab-123 h-32 rbi-14 avg- .276 oba- .345 vs Right ab-101 h-12 rbi- 2 avg- .119 oba- 231 wouldn't you want 3 straight left handed batters in the 9th if you could against him??
  5. Okay I hate to start a new thread but this needed one. These last couple of nights, does he really know how to use his 40-man roster at all or not? For tonights game. You have a right handed Brad Lidge up in the 9th and you are schedule to have an 0-4 Cameron hit, a 1-3 Hall hit, and a 0-3 Kendall hit. Okay so wouldn't you think that you would see 3 straight pinch hitters? Cameron is in a rut, Hall can't hit righties and Kendall is 0-3. He pinch hit for Hall which was good. But wouldn't you think you would see oh I don't know, something like Counsell for Cameron, if he gets on use Nelson for Hall if not use Durham, and then come back with Durham/Nelson for Kendall. Why is Kendall so un-pinch-hittable? He better get tomorrow off because he needs it badly(14 straight starts), Rivera has caught Parra all through the minors so let him get a start and maybe he'll spark something. As for Tuesday nights game, its the same thing with Cameron and Hall... They were up in the bottom of the 8th with Hart on second and Cameron was 0-3 at that point and he strikes out looking. Why not pinch hit there? And then Hall is up next is 0-2 and you let him hit against another right handed pitcher. Why? Oh he has somewhat good numbers against him but again has looked terrible at the plate so far. Then the 0-4 Cameron is up in the 10th with runners on first/second 2 outs and you don't pinch hit again. Oh yeah and not to mention Jason 0-3 Kendall batted in the bottom of the 11th against right hander Cordero. Why has his righty/lefty matchups went out the damn door once Branyan went down? Why has he become more loyal to Cameron/Hall/Kendall late in games when they have struggled at the plate?? I just don't understand these spots for people to pinch hit yet he doesn't. You have a 40-man roster so please use it sometime soon here. And oh yeah maybe play some small ball when your team is slumping. MAKE THEM MAKE THE PLAY and see what happens. I would love to see Ned Yost go off in his post-game interview tonight. Just call this team out, don't keep saying blah blah we're in a funk blah blah we're a close nit group, we'll get through this together blah blah. Maybe just starting cussing a lot and try to make some sense, idk do something. Or maybe tomorrow if a call doesn't go our way, have it pre-planned to go out there and kick some dirt, spit on the plate, throw a rawsin bag bomb at home plate or do something to get ejected and show this team you have some desire. Idk just do something for once instead of standing at the end of the dugout, chewing on seeds and occasionally yelling some swear words at the ump and shaking your head. Btw, I'm not putting this whole thing on Yost because he's not the one out there swinging and missing, he's not the one pulling every stinkin pitch possible, he's not the one booting ground balls, he's not the one putting fastballs on tees for the hittters, the players got to step up too. It just seems Yost doesn't put his players in the best position to succeed at all lately.
  6. Is there not a game-thread on here? Anyways, kinda happy with Yost's lineup for today but again not too much 2B Ray Durham SS JJ Hardy LF Ryan Braun 1B Prince Fielder RF GABE KAPLER CF Mike Cameron 3B Craig Counsell (why not use Mike Lamb? see what he can do) C Jason Kendall (Is Yost trying to kill him? Give him a day off before the Phillies series) P CC Sabathia
  7. Vent thread dude. Have you even noticed the Brewers struggles against nobody tomato-can pitchers the last couple years? Some guy with a 0-0 record should spell doom for the crew. The Pirates do not mean 3 easy wins either. Weren't the Padres and Reds supposed to be considered easy wins too? This team has slumped this bad before many times. And some have lasted longer than a month. Fielder has been in a month long slump. Weeks has been in a year long slump. Hall has been in a two year slump. Optimism leads to hopes being met or disappointment. Pessimism leads to expectations being met or happy surprises. Lets make that say 'Weeks has been in a career slump'
  8. I say no we don't have to be worried. They are 4 games back and are without Carlos Lee, that will come back and bite them in the ass. I'm not worried, just as long as the Brewers take care of business in the Phillies series, we'll do just fine.
  9. Wow, you call yourself a Brewers fan? Honestly we have a 3 game lead. CC on the mound today and on the mound 3 more times. Hopefully 4 wins there. And Sheets is getting his crap together lately. Geez dont give up so damn easy.... We have what it looks like the back end of the Phillies rotation with Thursday's game blank where Hamels would usually pitch, dont know the story behind that one but we do have our 2 3 4 5 pitchers going and they have Moyer, some guy with a 0-0 record, blank, Meyers there #2.... Be optomistic not pesimestic, still got 17 games left, make the best of it. And then we got the playoffs so don't give up already and if you do, dont call yourself a Brewer's fan. Yeah i'm worried but not that worried. This club can't slump this bad for the whole month. Oh yeah did i mention we have the Pirates again this year? Easy 3 wins....
  10. Okay Yost managed his bullpen alright tonight. And the ump didn't help the brewers out at all. Here's some question i wish Yost would be asked in his post game interview 1. Why has Kendall become un-pinch-hittable when he's 0-3? 2. Why dont you double switch Weeks & Durham to bolster the defense? 3. Why do you let Cameron hit with RISP when he's 0-3 in the 8th AND 0-4 the 10th? 4. Oh yeah and why do you let Bill Hall hit with RISP when he's 0-3 in the 8th? I just dont get it, why when you got LEFTIES on the bench but yet there they sit and you let Hall/Cameron hit against righties.... He used to switch off Brayan/Hall but lets Hall hit in the 8th against a righty? I don't want to be one of those guys who jumps on Yost after a loss, but seriously after this loss, there were obvious situations where you could have managed a lot lot better. CC save this team tomorrow!! Offense needs to wake up and get a good win going into Philly, you just can't can't seriously be in this big of a slump going into a big series. Hopefully somehow they get sparked tomorrow!! I'm not at all giving up on them, still a 3 game lead and we split this next series or take 3 mabye and you've got the WC almost rapped up. It would take a huge downfall by the Brewers and the Phillies get really hot. Still got faith!!
  11. So I printed off the remainder of the schedule this year. Filled it out with the rotation because Yost said he wasn't going to switch it up at all.... Now I'm going to break this down into who CC would face if Yost left the rotation alone.... Not Change- Pirates, Padres , Reds (2), Cubs (2) Move back Sunday's start to Monday- Mets, Padres, Phillies, Cubs, Pirates, Cubs Sheets wouldn't change pretty much at all just lose one start Not Change- Cards, Mets, Padres, Phillies, Cubs, Pirates Cubs Change- Cards, Mets, Padres, Phillies, Cubs, Pirates, first game of playoffs Parra Not Change- Cards, Mets, Padres, Phillies, Cubs, Pirates Change- Mets, Reds, Phillies, Reds, Pirates Bush Not Change- Pirates, Mets, Reds, Phillies, Reds, Pirates Change- Pirates, Padres, Reds, Phillies, Reds, Cubs Suppan Not Change- Pirates, Padres, Reds, Phillies, Reds, Cubs Change- Pirates, Padres, Reds, Cubs, Reds, Cubs McClung gets the spot start on Sunday to replace CC if change Grant it in the last series you wouldn't have Sheets but he would get the first game of the playoffs, but lets say push comes to shove andwith the final game of the season we are 2 back of the cubs and 2 games ahead in the wild card, would Yost save CC for game one of the playoffs? (i know thats a kinda BIG what if, but its a legit what ifIMO) What are your guys thoughts on pushing CC's start back to face to tougher teams?? I think its almost a no brainer IMO Btw, I first made this out last week and I woulda moved CC's start back to this tuesday against the Cards also.... what are your thoughts on this?
