  1. The Wild Cow is a vegetarian restaurant here with a sandwich named after Prince Fielder. In an effort to persuade Prince to make a trip to Nashville and try the sandwich that bears his name, they have decided to make a short video about the day after game 6 (otherwise known as the Marcum game). I star in the video as a hungover, dejected Brewers fan that is really hungry and discovers the sandwich. We have finished the first day of shooting and are expected to have one more day of shooting. The video should be done in about a week and I will post it here when we get everything wrapped.
  2. Would anyone be interested in having a separate In Game just for the MiLB games? Or would it just be easier to keep them with the MLB games. Not sure how often it would be frequented, but I just thought it would be cool to keep track of certain players down on the farm, for whatever reason that may be. It would also bring a little more traffic to this side of the site. Just an idea...

  5. @ JimH5- I totally understand your position. The Nashville Sounds season ticket holders are allowed one day of the season to come on the field and hit balls with some of the players and coaches. I think that I should clarify that when I was told that by the coach that will remain nameless, that I believe that it was meant to be tongue in cheek, and I guess that I didn't convey that as well as I should have in my initial post. Sorry for any misunderstandings on my part and I certainly didn't intend to throw Gamel or a coach under the bus, just passing along the joke I was told.
  6. I have one (maybe 2). I also have others, Prince Fielder, Braun, Brenden Katin, and more.
  7. I live in Nashville and have watched/ talked to Gamel (amongst many others). I have heard from the coaching staff that they feel he does not work as diligently on defense and baserunning as he does on offense. An unnamed coach went as far as to say he was partaking in "wacky weed" (lol), but somehow cleared all the testing. Personally, I think he is just a cool, laid back sort of guy that really enjoys hitting (he also is very accessible and signs a ton of autographs, etc). I don't feel he is the long term answer at first, but I really hope he proves me wrong because I have enjoyed watching his progression and this would be another great Brewers bat.
  8. I would like to see Katin too. When he connects, it's pretty much gone. Has a great outfield arm too. He would be an everyday player for a Pittsburgh or Washington.
  9. I agree 100%. Besides the fact that he has a great bat and clubhouse presence, having Braun and Fielder together gives the Brewers lineup a little mystique, similar to great combos for other teams: Manny and Big Papi, McGwire and Canseco, etc.. except without the steroids.
  10. I see Suppan in the 5th spot. I live in Nashville and go to a whole lot of Sounds games and I just can't see Narveson in the rotation. Maybe like a 7th inning relief guy. It was horrible when Soup came down here. Hard to watch. Especially since we saw probably the best game he threw in 09 in Atlanta like a week before.
  11. I'm sure everyone already knows this, but just in case, Jeffress has been sent down from AA Huntsville. The people at the gift shop said they were "Hopeful" that he comes back soon...
  12. Just got back from a Huntsville Stars roadtrip. We left Nashville about mid day Saturday and caught the game that night. It was rainy for that game and most of the weekend for that matter. The Stars had a come from behind victory that was pretty cool. The Sunday game was the complete opposite. Huntsville led the game untill the 8th when some relief pitcher (#23, don't know the name because they do not display on the scoreboard or announce) was throwing grapefruits and gave up a million runs. There was a highlight for me though when Nashville fan favorite Vinny Rottino stepped into the on deck circle. I told Vinny to hit one back to Nashville and he launched a massive solo shot to centerfield, the deepest part of Joe Davis stadium, which I believe is 425 feet. There really is no reason why he shouldn't be playing at least the AAA level. They also let you tailgate in Huntsville, and you can't in Nashville. Do any other posters on here make the trip down to Nashville or Huntsville? I did meet one of the Brewers batboys and some friends that made the trip from Milwaukee to Nashville recently. Hope everyone is having a great weekend.
  13. Thanks for the pics haas, I didn't even know they had posted them. I'm going down Monday to pick up my season tickets.
  14. I went out to the bar the other night and had Rogue XS Imperial IPA, 9.5%abv and came in a ceramic bottle. It was really good, but I have had better. I tried the XS Imperial Stout recently too and it was really really good at about 11.5%. I then decided I would balance it with a Meantime London Porter. It was good, probably the best porter I have ever had. Then I had Dogfishhead Theobromas. Long story short, I drank these great beers too fast and got wasted. So I think I'm gonna stick to water for awhile.
