  1. I haven't officially heard anything yet but I would love to do it. It would be a blast. I look forward to getting the call.
  2. I never ran into that attitude at the big league level. Everybody always wanted to make the playoffs there.
  3. Exactly. I go from doing whatever I can to help my team win to let's hurry up and get home.
  4. You know what's funny is that a lot of the Cubs' fans are bitter about my comment that "I knew my career was in trouble when the Cubs drafted me". What they failed to do was read a little farther into the interview when I mentioned the reason that I said that. I said that because of what happened in my first half season where the guys on the team wanted to force a losing streak so we could go home. Oh well some of them knew what I was talking about and some of them just tried to throw daggers. What are you going to do? Try and please everyone and you will please no one including yourself. Rock and roll.
  5. *To answer some of the questions that y'all have: When TB drafted me in the Expansion draft it was strictly as a hitter. When I got hurt in '98 (dislocated left elbow) that was about it for me in TB. *As far as the MLB not taking advantage of 2 way players I think in their minds they have a lot invested in a player and they want to make sure that he focuses on what in their minds is his best asset. They don't want to risk that player getting injured. *When players get booed by the home fans, that is just part of the game. I don't think it shows that you don't have support for that player I think it just means that at that time the player was not at their best and odds are it happened at an inopportune time. I would not think that it would discourage a true gamer from signing with a team because of that. If a player doesn't sign somewhere because he is afraid he is going to get booed then you probably don't want that guy on your team anyway. *And last but definitely not least...SoCal Brew Crew Fan make sure and tell your wife I said HOOK 'EM HORNS right back at ya. Hope everyone is doing well.
  6. As far as chugging a beer in the on deck circle I would have done it if they would have let me. I will have to do that when I get back to Milwaukee some time.
  7. Kind of ironic that I was #55 on the thread. What up! I knew I felt some karma on this website.
  8. Well guys, there are a lot of my old teammates that I played with that had the talent to play in the major leagues that did not get a chance. The late Mike Coolbaugh was one of them. I played with him my last year in Round Rock. There are numerous others but it all boils down to getting a chance and having someone in your corner. As far as the stadiums that I liked to play in on the road, the ones that I liked most were Minute Maid field in Houston and most of the new ball parks were awesome.
  9. Thanks for inviting me to join the site.
  10. To everyone one on the site, I want all of you to know that I everything I said came from the heart and that I would love the opportunity to be involved with the Brewer organization and the city of Milwaukee again some day. Those 2 years spent in Milwaukee made me realize why I love the game of baseball and what it stands for. Hope y'all enjoyed the interview and I would be happy to answer anymore questions that y'all might have.
