That quote is taken out of context, he was talking about his days in the minor leagues, not what he'll do with the Brewers.

To be fair, this was a somewhat big story in an otherwise dull time in sports news in Pittsburgh. I'm sure multiple news outlets sought comments from his mother, and eventually people are bound to talk. A bit defensive towards her son? Sure, but it's a giant leap to attack her parenting style or methods from a few lines of quoted text. That being said, they should have stuck with their original position and kept him fired.

Why do people keep mentioning a 3 pm start time? My mother said the same thing, but everywhere I look including the Brewers website, my tickets and a magnetic schedule I have say the start time is 1:10. Has the start time changed?
