  1. The starter in the Sunday AA game was Jesse Harper. He went two scoreless innings striking out two with one hit. He is being limited in pitch count, but so far he has not been scored on. He will pitch again Wed.

  3. The bad news is tht he will not be able to help the Stars during th eplayoff run. The good news is that it is not Tommy John surgery for another of our promising pitchers. I was able to watch him pitch in his AA debut and he had very little trouble with Birmingham. The only time they got to him was in the fifth and I found out that Birmingham had stolen the signs after they got a runner on second. The manager went out there and they made an adjustment and he was back in cruise control until he hit his pitch count. We may see him in the Arizona Fall league. The Brewers need to see him agaisnt top competition becasue he is on the 40 man and that becomes critical for next year.
  4. Mav's down 2-1 after 5. Harper only went five tonight by design according to the announcer. Come to find out, Harper was throwing with a touch of the flu and was almost scratched from the lineup tonight.
  5. Mav's down 2-0 in the middle of the 5th. They got robbed in the 4th on a 3 run homer to left field. Home ump ruled it gone, second base ump overruled him? Harper with 6 k's, but not much help in the outfield or at the plate.
  6. Anyone else out there think that this is Harper's last start in a Mav's uniform? Look at the Star's roster and they are only showing four true starters left.
  7. Mav's up 3-0 in the third.
  8. Mav's up 7-3 in the 8th inning. Harper had some problems in the 5th. Two balls misplayed in the outfield and two botched double play balls. They went as earned runs though. Looks bad on the pitcher, but that's the way it goes sometimes.
  9. Mav's up 3-0 in the third. Harper with three k's and one hit.
  10. Mel Queen just said on the pre game show that Parra will miss a couple of starts with shoulder tightness.
  11. Could we be seeing a move in High Desert? Parra and Harper never miss their turns in the rotation even if it meant moving somebody else. Also Khalid was the one that was moved out of the rotation in order for Bruso to get in. Maybe I am a conspiracy theory guy, but this may lead to something else.Oh well, at least I will stir up some conversation.
  12. Mav's up 5-1 in the seventh. 5 k's, 1 walk, and 1 hit so far for Harper.
  13. Mav's up 4-0 in the sixth. Harper has retired 13 in a row.
  14. Mavericks up 4-0 in the 5th. Harper has allowed one hit so far.
  15. I believe that it has more to do with keeping Harper on a strict five day rotation. They have slowly worked him up to 90 pitches now. Could it be that we will see Parra and Harper moving some folks out of the AA rotation very soon? Those two guys never miss their turn in the rotation even if it means moving some pitchers around.
  16. I seen where Hall is supposed to start for the Mavericks tonight. I thought that we were going to see Harper again tonight. Any info out there?
