  1. Im curious:since you are a Brewers/Bears fan do you hate the Chicago cubs in baseball and the Packers in football? Also who you became a fan of both team?
  2. I'm Curious, since we both are Lions and Brewers fan, why the Lions over the Packers? (Also like you I don't hate the Packers BTW)
  3. Hey everyone, Just for fun I know we are all Brewers fan (DUH!) but wich team you are a fan in the others sports? for me (In order of importance) : Hockey: Montreal CanadiensBaseball: Milwaukee BrewersNFL: Detroit LionsNBA:?...LOL:p
  4. and are all of brewers fan are packers fan? The reason I ask, is since I really like the Brewers (since I'm from Montreal I dont have a home team) but I'm also a Lions fan (I know...) but for me football is less important than baseball by lage margin. So it's kind of weird for cheering for Detroit in Football and Milwaukee in baseball..or not?
  5. Hello everyone, Since I'm not from the are (not even the country) of Milwaukee, I was wondering wich sport is the most popular in Milwaukee? I Know Wisconsin Is a Football state so is Milwaukee the same. since you are from the region do you what Is the % of people who go to packers game ans are not from Green bay? Also of you go at a sport bar In Milwaukee Will people taik more about the packer or the brewers? Finnaly were the brewers always as popular as They are now!?Thanks!
  6. Sadly the anwser to your question is a big no. Since they Expos left , some people in Montreal are still talking baseball and remember the good time but most of them are people in the 50 and plus. For the new generation Y people like me , almost everybody don't follow baseball.... This is one of the main reason I have now to travel 5 hours and more to see a baseball game... And for the corporation people in Montreal, the only Entreprise I can see buy a baseball team is Quebecor. And for the moment they are more occupy to try to bring back the Nordique in Quebec city in the NHL. (fixed code http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif --1992)
  7. Well since I'm from Montreal maybe I can help you with this case. Since my expos left, the Jays became ''Canada team'' Almost all the people I know who still follow baseball are now Jays fan (or red sox fan) I may be one of the few who don't have find another team. And for the jays their owner(Rogers communication) are a very big corporation who got their own sport channel (sportsnet) So I don't think Toronto will move soon.
  8. Hello Brewers fan, Since my last post (about see a game at Miller park this year) I try to learn the history of the Brewers. I was wondering, the Brewers are the only team (well I think!) to have switch league in the history. I know they switch because of the interleague, but why was Milwaukee choose to switch and also are most of the fan were (and are) happy about the switch or still prefer the AL to the NL? thanks for helping me! PS: I just found , the MB in the mitt logo, I got to say, I never saw the ''M'' and the ''B'' in that logo it's so well made!
  9. I know that I'm in a true Brewers fan forum, when people knoe Alexandre Periard! BTW a funny fact: i didn't know but me and Periard only got 1 day of age difference LOL.
  10. Thanks to all for all the answers! To be honest with you I'm so happy about the planning of this trip. I heard Milwaukee fan are the best for the tailgate and atmosphere! It should be a blast! PS: And for DocLuna7 : merci beaucoup! Ton français est très bon pour une deuxième langue! En espérant avoir la chance de se rencontrer lors de mon voyage à Milwaukee!
  11. Hello everyone, I introduced myself: my name is Alex, and I'm from Montreal. Since the Expos left I feel betrayed but I still follow baseball( is the best sport in the world after all!) But after the expos left they broke my heart. I never pick a ''new'' team to follow and never went to a live game since...this year! And I got to say: it was a great feeling to enjoy the sport again! The game was at the rogers center (all my friends are Jays Fan since I guess is the only option for most Canadian fan) but for I reason unknow I don't ''fit'' with the Jays. So for the first time I want to be ''involved'' with a team. So with the new season coming , I made the choice to travel to see at least one game! So here I am wrinting on this board! I ask all my buddy to come with me on this trip: but they all are low on money! So I decided to do it all by myself. I will try to travel to one or two MLB stadium this years, and I picked the Miller Park! Why the Brewers? To be honest with you I don't have one ''big'' reason, but I always like the brewers when they play in Montreal! Of course it will be a long trip (16 hours!) but hey is for the love of the game after all! But if possible I need your help for a few questions: 1-Will I have to buy tickets in advance2- What are the thing to do in Milwaukee3-Wich hotel are good?4- are the Brewers fan (so you I guess you:p) are good people who like to talk to stranger ( I ask that because it will be a long time watching all those game alone:P) thanks for your help! Alex
