  1. The gosh darn solution to 3B is to simply put frickin Bill Hall back there and call it day. Throw Gwynn in CF with Gross or vice versa and bring up Ryan Braun to platoon with Jenkins and move Mench for Leiber or something. It is that simple. Only the Brewers can botch up things like this. It is staring us right in the face. You have to think about strong defense up the middle and in the corners. Then if Koskie comes back he can back Hall. Send Mench and Graffanino in a pacakage and then bring up Rottino with Counsell for INF depth and there you go. Leave Hall and Hardy on the left side and not one ball will get by them and not one will get in the gaps on Gwynn or Gross. This is so simple it infuriates me...I can't see why they do not do it? You got all your home grown talent and guys you had made trades for right there! Then we will see Melvin's greatness in all of this...
  2. Todd Walker would be an upgrade...but I would rather have Rottino and trade Graffinino.
  3. You wouldnt trade Hall for Crawford!??? You are incredulous!!! Ha ha ha... man would I love to play you in fantasy baseball.
  4. Make what hole? What the hell are you talkin about!? The Hall and Jenkins deal for Wells is awesome. It does not create a hole! Hall's hole is gone when they bring in Counsell! He is not an OF anyways. They can move him...along with Jenkins just to get rid of Jenkins. They have to pay others down the road and they have evidently chose to diss Hall for JJ...so move him.
  5. I love the Bill Hall and Clark for Vernon Wells. Now that Craig Counsell is here Hall is expendable..because for his good you cant trot him out to LF. This man is a SS. I would not settle for anything less if I am his agent or Bill Hall himself. JJ Hardy is the one who they should move not Hall. But you know how Milwaukee works...they will move the guy they should keep. Back ass awkards.
  6. LOL....ha ha ha. Get in shape....Ha. Priceless.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  7. That is his hard curve...not biting or floating curve. Ben has a nice yakker! An 12 to 6 and 11 to 5 drop...nice arm action. Can come from various arm slots. He sells his breaking balls well. Ben's command has improved because as you can see, he does not walk many and he throws strikes. And in his follow through he comes over and down a bit more to take that strain off his elbow. Not like Francisco Liriano and Dontrelle... On day they might blow an elbow. That may be a reason Griffey went yard on the first pitch. Ben if he gets hit it is early in the count...because they know he is coming with a strike and a ball around the plate. It's a good thing to see...http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  8. Hey dont get me confused with this guy who copied my screename. I am not a negative fan! Relax we will be ok. The White Sox are said to be looking for a big bat and have Vasquez Garland or another pitcher free. But the way it is looking we need a hot bat now...from somewhere. All these Cubs fans in here make the Cubs feel like they own the place.
  9. Just adjustments of a young hitter....he will snap out of it. He is learning to make adjustments. He has altered his stance and bat placement a bit and spread his legs apart a bit. So he is popping things up because his arms and hips are too slow and not in sync with his weight shift in the lower legs and trunk I think...But who am I?http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif Jenkins goes with the leg lift, but Prince sticks with the leg slide and pivot. Both will drive the ball and not get up under it so much and produce big for us. Don't worry. Prince is close. He is not far behind in his timing. They are coming up and end and he is getting a little over anxious a bit to make em pay. He must think 'back up the box' and he will get his head back right and start gapping and raking again like Rickie is doing now...Watch and see... Prince will be Batting King soon...you can count on that!http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif He will be alright.
  10. I like Gross in CF...move Hall to LF. Platoon Hart in CF and LF. When he is in LF Hall will be in the INF...at 3B or SS or 2B like Freel was used tonite.
  11. Yes he is getting better at turning the dp and on his pivot and getting the ball out of his glove quick on that exchange and making a snap and accuarate throw. One day he is gonna keep working every day like he is with Dale and Robin before the game and is gonna be able to be a good as he wants to be. Even other broadcasters and all say how they see him taking in grounders before games. His pitchers and his teamates have to love to see that. Many on this team do not settle for average. They want to be the best! It's great to see!
  12. Rickie has not had a single error in one exact month! Just outstanding play in the field lately. Albeit minus the wind blown double in Wrigley Field against a horrid and swirling wind and this SportsTurf in between hop at the Metrodome with all the seams and skipping the ball does on that surface. Excuses? No...just inexperience. He is ok... Two very tough places to play for a young player to field let alone a veteran player with the 'elements' to deal with. Yes it is part of baseball but you go out there and do it...and come back to me... Both plays could have ended the inning I believe as well...He is working hard and looks very smooth and very natural in the field, not lost and pressing like he did early on.
  13. My guy Rickie could not flag that grounder down, the next guy Jones doubles in the run. Had Rickie come up with he would have thrown him out says Uecker...That's baseball... Darn it! Grrrrrrrrrrr. That' alright Rickie will win this with his bat...hopefully. Brewers 3 Cubs 3
