  1. You're wrong. Where are the stats on this? There aren't any that I know of. Unless you have the little league and HS stats for every guy, then you simply cannot know the full story. The fact that ML teams subscribe to the theory doesn't make it true. It simply means that they have a lot of money invested in these players and want to "play it safe". They also want to keep their jobs - so they don't want to make it appear that they were at fault. But it's not based in FACT, at all. How do you explain the guys that did have their innings limited but still got hurt? You're just another guy who can explain everything but in fact knows nothing. The more innings you heap on Gallardo this season, the more likely it is that he gets hurt. He knows that. He's just distorting our argument to make it easier to argue against. The fact that Doug Melvin and just about every other ML organization supports the theory of limiting the innings of young arms makes his position pretty hard to defend, however.
  2. I love how people accept the fact that young pitchers MUST limit their innings. One joker even said it's backed up by stats and common sense. Whatever. Where are the stats? Do you have stats from the pitchers' little league teams and high school teams? These injuries can happen anywhere, at any time. A kid can hurt his arm at age 12 and have it heal completely - but never really know it. Then it gets reinjured in his 20s when his arm is subjected to the stress of pitching. We have to face the fact that we don't know everything - and the why's and how's of arm injuries are one of those things. Otherwise, we'd have far fewer arm injuries than we do now. Pitching someone when their arm is tired is stupid. Limiting someone's innings based on an arbitrary number is also stupid.
  3. The food service at MP is terrible. Sausage, hamburgers, and pizza is about it. Lines are way too long. They should take a look at Chase Field in Arizona for how to do it. They have easily double the amount of places to buy food. Different restaurants all have facilities there. They could have Saz's, Culver's, Chipotle, whatever in there. Instead, it's all sportservice slop. It all tastes the same. I got the "premium" nachos, the one they serve from the little tiny cart. It just reminds me of a school lunch. Most people in Milwaukee are happy with crappy sausages and beer in a plastic cup, I guess.
