  1. I got a 4-pack for Christmas in the Loge Bleachers and oh my Jesus yes are those seats in the sun during day games! Went to the SF Giants game last Saturday (the one on Fox) and my wife and I had to go to the concourse every other inning to cool off and stop sweating. For some reason the panels were closed, but the roof was open, which may have limited the airflow. It was like Africa hot.
  2. I agree with a few posts above, what's with this Gwynn facination? Gwynn has improved quickly since AA Huntsville, IMO, but he is not the player who started the season white hot. As he got more at bats, you can see that he is NOT a .300 hiter. With no power, what you're getting is Gwynn's solid defense and speed. Weeks is faster. so Gwynn is an upgrade in defensie only with this move. Plus if Weks gets going/healthy, he could still drop 20 bombs and get more RBIs than Gwynn. Doing this move to try and light a fire under Weeks would be the ONLY reason to make it. It wouldn't make the Brewers better per se.
  3. I watched him play at UWM a bunch of times. IMO, I don't think he's big league material. He throws hard, but the minors are full of guys who throw 90+. His secondary stuff didn't impress me, and I think thats why he will struggle the more he moves up. That said, I am hoping he proves me wrong. I do think his best shot will be as a setup/closer out of the pen. I will always cheer for a "homeboy" to make it big, especially with the Crew.
  4. BJ Upton's brother....or Drew again. He'd go back into the draft, and since the D-backs currently have to No. 1 pick, they could take Drew again. Why anyone would want Boras as their agent is beyond me. Nobody likes dealing with the guy, and I'd even say that the past few years have shown a definate anti-Boras approach by many teams in regards to draft picks (i.e. Drew and Weaver both dropping way lower than they should have). Boras is the big reason I FEAR our negotations with Kolb this off-season. They're gonna want to break the bank, something the Brewers don't have a great track record with in the past.
