  1. I don't think there is much to this. Roenicke is just feeling out his roster's depth and how roles can change for players during the season in the case we're stuck in worst-case scenarios. Let's hope Lind holds up. *fingers crossed*
  2. Gomez isn't human. How does he keep playing with this energy day in and day out consistently!
  3. Not really. His list of blunders is long enough to stretch from Wisconsin to Michigan. He's without a doubt one of the worst managers this team has ever had. Consistently poor lineup and bullpen decisions, bad at defensive adjustments, bad at substitutions, and low baseball IQ. No way.. Lay off the highlife.
  4. Actually I prefer the aggressive base running. It's going to force Boston to stay on their feet by adding that kind of pressure.
  5. They sure aren't joking that Reynolds has abnormally high raw power with that laser over the monster.
  6. Weeks had one bad season. Before that he was a very solid 2B and not that long ago looked like one of the top 2B in baseball. I think you're giving up on him too soon. If I were running things I would make Weeks the starter and Gennett the back-up, but since it seems they're doing it the other way around they at least need to keep Weeks as a backup. I have high hopes for Gennett, but you don't make a young guy with an extremely mixed track record your everyday starter with no backup unless he is an elite prospect (like top-20 in baseball, and maybe not even then) and Gennett has never even been the top prospect inside the mediocre Milwaukee farm system. Being injured for long periods isn't bad?? Age has a tendency to project more injuries and slower recovery.
  7. Butler has had a pretty good glove at first. If it was possible I would really enjoy seeing Butler at our 1B and I think he could thrive in the NL Central.
  8. You'll learn that any time a Brewer player has a breakout season, some on this board will suggest trading that player. I call it the "Bill Hall" syndrome. Of course not every player is Bill Hall. I'd rather see the brewers get better with their drafting/signing of minor leaguers and give them a farm that is proven to develop players then stay in a vicious cycle of trading.
  9. If be curious to know if a star coming to the franchise would sell more tickets or of the team was winning with a bunch of decent players.
  10. There are a lot of other good ways to get great prospects then just trading top tier players....
  11. From what I read it sounds like the brewers offered a one year deal to hart, but he is seeking a 2-3 year deal. I don't think it matters to him that it's at a discount. What I don't understand is why he wouldn't take a one year to prove performance and get back on track with a contract that is equal to his value again. I think he is protecting himself from relying on only one year of performance to show his value.
  12. We are feeling good profit from both players. Why trade when we are finally seeing growth?
