IF the latter trumps the former, I want a new league! Unfairness ruins any sport!

MLB needs to break the league into three divisions: (1) Big Market, (2) Middle Market, (3) Small Market. MLB then can crown 3 champions each season. College Sports, High School Sports does this sort of thing and everybody understands why it is necessary. Multiple divisions are needed because common sense tells us it is necessary. MLB has no common sense right now, AND thus MLB is an unfair league. One can like baseball and still go to games, root root for the home team and all, BUT many of us know it is competitively unfair and our chances of winning it all suffer immeasurably as a result! We need some brave owners, players, and former owners and players to start a campaign and waves of fans will join them to protest the MLB for its obvious unfairness as it stands now!

The MLB needs to break down the league into Divisions 1-3 based on market size much like the NCAA does based on school size (or something similar too that). The unfairness of the MLB now is way too glaring as it is.

I like the Brewers direction ... Counsell was NOT making this team better. He was a below-average in-game manager, IMHO.. The players on the field have made this team what it is, period. I doubt any new manager will make much of a difference. I think the Brewers should have a player-manager this upcoming season. I nominate Christian Yelich. If he is reluctant, have a pitcher, catcher, and one position player be a 3-headed manager. There will be no ties when it comes to decision making with an odd number in the multi-headed manager position. Such a scenario could potentially make us better! Get some good motivational chant music going in the ballpark for a change! Let our GM, Matt Arnold, continue his brilliance. Let's get Mark Attanasio to be a thorn in the side of MLB as he loudly voices the unfairness of MLB's payroll structure due to market size differences! Let him organize a group of small-market team owners and threaten a strike or holdout UNTIL MLB levels the playing field! Get all these things in place and a World Series Championship season will happen before Bob Uecker retires!

CC was way overrated as a manager! Jesse Winker in the playoffs? The overuse of poor players like Travis Shaw and Eric Sogard come to mind ... when better options were right in front of him. CC was above question by the fans/media, too ... he was too pompous, especially in the last few years. Let's get David Ross and destroy the Cubs again!

Counsell lost his mind in the 2023 playoffs ... (1) Winker on the roster AND Winker used in both games! INEXCUSABLE! No Tellez? JOKE! (2) Monasterio benched for both playoff games! INEXCUSABLE! (3) Love affair with Brice Turang (even against lefties)! INEXCUSABLE! (4) Love affair with old Josh Donaldson! INEXCUSABLE! (5) Having Frelick in against lefties in critical situation(s)! INEXCUSABLE! Where's Caratini? Where's Perkins? Where's Miller? (6) Not having bullpen ready for the quickly faltering Peralta (as often happens with him throughout his career) and having a quick hook for Peralta! INEXCUSABLE! The Brewers as a team overachieved throughout the season and have most of the time under Counsell; that's why his brain farts in the 2023 playoffs are especially frustrating! Reminds me so much of Mike Budenholzer losing his mind in the playoffs all too often for the Bucks. Counsell 1-9 in the last ten Brewers playoff games -- not good enough. Now, Mark Attanasio needs to invest in players to a greater degree instead of worrying about other things so much. Brewers need a much better sound infiltration plan to get fans going during games, especially in big situations ... get some chants going ... get some catchy chant music going! Good grief! The fan experience in the ballpark was far better at old Milwaukee County Stadium for that sort of thing that can make a difference in a game! Congrats to the Brewers for defying the odds, though, by winning the division, though. It's hard watching it all slip away so quickly with so many things that should have been played differently.

Sweet! The odds are definitely with higher payroll teams over the long haul and we all know it, too, though. Wouldn't it be nice to retain Corbin Burnes?

And remembered by me for payroll inequity failure of the MLB -- hence Counsell and Stearns going to the Mets!
