  1. I thought John Sterling retired.
  2. BA is an absolutely outstanding announcer. That’s why he’s in such great demand nationally. He’s definitely shown his loyalty when he says that he will keep calling Brewers games as long as the organization wants him. At the same time I would prefer to have an announcer who is in the booth for our team almost every game during the year. Maybe it's time to let him go to bigger pastures, while we find someone who is Our Guy.
  3. My apologies. It looks like this is a prediction from a sportswriter based on money and need, not inside knowledge.
  4. Not sure if this is the right thread, but it looks like Atlanta is all in for Willy.
  5. Sounds painfully familiar
  6. We will have to pay more to see the games. I can feel it in my bones.
  7. What's the status of Montas? It would be nice to see what he can do next season.
  8. The bottom line is no one knows how good Big Woo will be when he returns. I take heart in the reports that he feels good, but we just don't know. Any word on Wade Miley for next year?
  9. I'd like to see Bryse come back. He eats up innings. I hope they can work it out.
  10. JomBoy makes a really good case that Devin was tipping his pitches. If the Mets picked that up, that's a huge, gaming winning advantage. I don't agree we should trade Devin. If he's amenable to working on techniques that will keep him from getting too wound up in high leverage situations, I think he can be what we want in the biggest games of the season. He was pretty darned good in game 2. Of course, he'll need to work on not tipping his pitches too. Finally, if Devin was tipping his pitches, who's to blame on the Brewers club for not catching it?
  11. About what we got for Corbin. I'd prefer really good starting pitching prospects. We already have Megill as a closer.
  12. Add in Wade Miley and Big Woo, we might have something cooking.
  13. I felt confident until the moment it was clear that Devin could not locate his fastball.
  14. I too get philosophical at times like these. I realize that the one constant through all the years has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It's been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt, and erased again. But baseball has marked the time.
  15. Same here. I'm curious to see how well Ohtani handles a playoff atmosphere, but otherwise I'm moving on to football.
  16. I probably will be. But I love baseball and the Brewers. I could root for some front runner, but I'll stick with my team.
  17. Up 2-0 in the 9th with Devin coming in. That's the recipe for victory. It just didn't work out.
  18. I'm crushed. This one really hurts. It's going to take a while to come to terms. And when I do, I'll start making arrangements to get to Phoenix for some spring baseball.
  19. He didn't have it. He couldn't locate the heater. Tough night.
  20. We'll have a better lineup next year. But this one really hurts.
  21. Joey chased a bunch of bad pitches tonight.
  22. I know you're angry. But this is sport. Sometimes our heroes deliver, and sometimes they don't.
