  1. The Cobbler: .256/.695 Joey O: .225/.598 An upgrade at the plate, but will he save runs?
  2. Great points. Yelich is kind of a special case. He’s been the face of the franchise so long I expect the organization wants to give him every opportunity to get right, especially since the team is winning a lot of games right now. Also, he’s still a heckuva investment. It’s not easy moving on from the guys who are so closely associated with huge success at an organization. But he’s hitting around .100 against sliders. I’m no baseball expert, but that doesn’t sound good to me.
  3. I’m making my case. I’m willing to listen and change my mind, even if posters are too angry and resort to childish name calling.
  4. I’m just saying: critics are right 100 percent of the time, something that should give them pause (but it doesn’t). If Vaughn does something with his AB, we are having a far different conversation.
  5. It's interesting that when things go to cripes people put so much blame on the manager and not the players who are supposed to do their jobs. Also, it's the easiest thing to do because the person doing the criticizing is always (often self-righteously) right after the fact.
  6. Hard to believe the Pirate pitcher didn't feed Yeli a steady diet of sliders away.
  7. The Bryseman is an upgrade to both these pitchers.
  8. We have them right where we want them for the soul destroying come back.
  9. We seem to excel at spurts of offensive production in one inning late in the game . I vote we move it up a little tonight.
