  1. Let the opener open 🙂🤷‍♂️
  2. 28-year-old right-hander Casey Mize makes his second career start against Milwaukee. Mize last faced the Brewers on 6/8/24 allowing 8 H, 2 BB, 5 R, 3 ER and striking out one batter over 5.1 IP. Brewers won 5-4. Mize has pitched well this season thanks largely to his splitter which he has used 30% of the time. The majority of what Mize throws is off speed. Chad Patrick had one of his best career starts last time out, needing only 82 pitches to complete 6.2 IP against Toronto. Patrick makes his first career appearance against Detroit. Chad has thrown a fastball 85% of the time this season (cutter, four seam or sinker).
  3. It seems odd to me for Devin to seemingly have a negative experience in New York last season and sign across town in the off season. Even if the money was there from the Mets. McLean had perfect game into the 6th, too...
  4. Woodford hasn't walked anyone in 6 of 7 outings. His FIP is 3.61 🤷‍♂️🙂
  5. Club record five triples in one game. Source
  6. October 1, 1974 another time source A few times in the 70s. I stopped looking.
  7. Brewers had back to back triples on May 10, 1970. source
  8. Let’s not overlook David Hamilton. He might go the entire season without an extra base hit, but he is walking 17% of the time. 0.5 WAR through 59 PA is acceptable.
  9. Tigers are 8-2 over the last 10 games and 8-1 at home this season. Brewers took two of three from the Tigers in Milwaukee last season. Brewers lost the Skubal/Tyler Alexander matchup.
  10. 25-year-old right-hander Keider Montero has been effective through three starts this season. Montero is 1-1 with a 1.66 FIP and 3.31 ERA allowing 12 H, 2 BB with 15 K over 16.1 IP. Milwaukee defeated Montero on 4/16/25, winning 5-1. Montero surrendered 8 H, 1 BB, 3 HR, 5 ER while striking out 8 batters over 5 IP. source Kyle Harrison makes his first start since "the incident" on April 11. Harrison last faced Detroit on 9/26/25. Harrison allowed 7 H, 3 BB and 3 ER while striking out 6 over 3 IP. source Looking ahead to Thursday, Sproat faces Skubal.
  11. The Reds outfield has been jarringly below replacement level.
  12. Batting average.
  13. I think the organization knows who Perkins is at this point. Not much chance to catch lightning in a bottle anymore than we already did with Perkins. Might as well give Jones and Matos another look. Lara is close, I would think.
