  1. This is sport. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. I like Yeli's attitude: “It’s part of the story, man. Sometimes you’re going to have to win some big games,” Yelich said, via Adam McCalvy of MLB.com. “You face some adversity in the postseason… You gotta keep going. We played well at our home field, they took care of business here. Go back, get ready for Saturday and make sure we play well.”
  2. He was not wrong, and I wonder how we are going to set up our pitching for Saturday. Anyone have a good idea about this?
  3. The negative fan: We are terrible and we will lose. So if they are right, they have the (small, I would say) satisfaction of knowing they were right. If they are wrong, they are happy! It's a no lose situation.
  4. That number will change, but for now, I hope the boys in Vegas are right.
  5. Yep. But the crowd and home cooking make everything better.
  6. Oh, now. This is why you win the most games. For home field. We have as much chance as those blokes from chi.
  7. I think he's on or close to his usual rest days. But it's all hands on deck, of course. For both teams.
  8. I saw on Facebook ticket site where they are begging people not to sell to Cub fans. They did a great job last time not selling to the enemy. Maybe they'll do it one more time.
  9. I guess it always had to come down to this. Two pretty even teams. Our home crowd will need to give the boys some serious energy to take us home.
  10. He's already in uniform. I think Murphy should slot himself in to pinch hit.
  11. Maybe bringing in Megill here creates some urgency for bats.
  12. He's our right fielder. That's all I was (am) saying.
  13. If you want to crown their ****, go ahead crown their ****!
  14. I wouldn't have done anything because I'm not the manager and the game is over. I'm not a would've, could've, should've guy. My only point is that Sal Frelick is our right fielder.
  15. He's an excellent right fielder with a cannon that keeps runners from getting to third. More important, I don't see how it makes sense to start changing things up in a the middle of a playoff series.
