Let Danny "Burgers" Vogelbach take the reins for a few weeks.

He looks and acts like he’s pushing 90 years old. The back and hip stuff has taken him out of the game both physically and mentally. As a result, this team is rudderless right now. And unfortunately, I don’t think a few days off during the break is going to make much difference.

The Brewers will be out of 1st place by July 24th.

I feel like I’m in the upside down world watching this series. Are we sure the Pirates don’t have the 2nd best record in MLB right now?

Murph in the post-game interview looks like he aged 20+ years in the past few weeks. . He looked really haggered and tired. If he’s the life of this team, not hard to understand why they’re looking a bit lifeless right now.

Shutting Miz down does not sound good. Likely sweep by the Pirates going into the break. They will be fighting for a wild card bid if they can’t figure out how to hit with RISP.

Terrible loss and Pittsburgh will go into game 2 with the all the juice while the Brewers will go into game 2 with a Yelich lead-off three pitch strike out.

Barrel Man!

Christian Yelich is a drag on this lineup. Hitting a dinger every 8 to 12 games is not going to cut it and something needs to be done. He has become an automatic out.

I’m already getting worried about Pratt’s long term Yelich type contract.

I see a correlation between Murph’s back/hip issues and the Brewer’s offensive nosedive. It seems they are missing his day to day influence and his ability to keep the team loose. Murph is in pain and has deferred much of the managing to Chis Hook and Jason Lane. Unfortunately, it shows.

I don’t know if it’s a related but once Murph got hobbled up and started sitting all game, the Brewer’s bats have gone ice cold.

Hamilton is worthless with a bat in his hand. He wouldn’t make it on most teams’s Triple A club. What are we doing?

This easily could have been a 3-game sweep of the Brewers.

Brewers have a way of making other team’s mediocre pitchers look like a Cy Young award winners.
