That's a 2nd LOL Nothing matters, no numbers you can bring to the table. The only thing that counts in baseball is RUNS You can throw a thousand numbers and stats at me, but at the end of the day, we would have gotten our tails beat by both the Rockies and Pirates scoring only 1 RUN PER GAME. You cannot challenge that fact. 1 run per game doesn't win in July, certainly NOT in October. (don't get pissed at me for my thoughts) -
And this is why we need to shift the talk to football. Only 3 teams have won 3 straight at this point !!

He only got 4 hits the entire series & struck out 5 times. My argument isn't saying he was "bad", my argument is disagreeing with posters saying he was "Good". He was Not good. Who cares, his production was 0. In 1 swing, Ohtani had more. (from my chair at home I had just as many RBIs, and only 1 less walk). His stats are equivalent to most 9th spot batters in the League. Again, if you are celebrating his stats, it shows just how bad we actually were.

I agree 100%. I have wondered for decades why we need to play 162 games, (just to figure out who will be in the playoffs). Every time I suggest to myself that 100 games would be plenty, the realization of how much revenue would be lost, assures me it will never change.

You're not going to pitch around him his first at bat in the very 1st inning. When the inning ended, they had 3 runs, and the game was over. He was just "piling on" after that, (because they don't take-a-knee in baseball).

Durbin the best offensive player, and he sucked !! You want some stats? 13 at bats 5 strike outs vs 1 walk 4 hits 1 run scored 0 rbi So if he was the best O player, (and everyone was worse), there should not be anyone here wondering why we got SWEPT !!

Well, that was pretty humiliating. Best team in baseball ............... swept. Couldn't put up more that 1 run per game. Forget about, payroll, payroll, payroll. Pirates would have kicked our asses. Same ol story, different year.
