Why is Branyan on the bench? he had a big night last night and you sit him for a slumping/coming back down to earth Bill Hall?Hell i would even be in favor of Billy playing center tonight instead of Magruder,he cant be much worse can he? Good ol Ned has come up with some interesting lineups between game one of this series and tonight.

I wouldnt say he has no upside,we had to have thought at least relatively high of him to nab him in the 5th round in 03'. was he hurt last year or in 03', as he only has about 100 pro at bats? i thought the report on him was that he had a good bat but was pretty bad behind the plate? EDIT: well im not sure what exactly i was looking at on the stat page as i somehow missed his terrible year last year. .175 is just awful. Looks like this is probably his last chance. thanks for the swift kick in the behind about him brucru.

is it just me, or was yost wearing a tie dye jersey/shirt in that picture?

were going to need to do something with Brad Willcut pretty soon, with 3 catchers in Helena hes the one with the least potential at age 23. i guess a position change isnt out of the question either but something needs to be done. he cant throw anyone out as teams are running on him like crazy 5 sb the other night against him and 4 more tonight. maybe i should give him a little more time to transition into the pro game though as he was just recently drafted. I would just rather have Opdyke and Salome alternate at catcher as both seem to have alot more upside than he does.

well, even though this game turned out terribly we still took two out of three from the pirates. If you honestly expected a sweep coming in you expected too much from the get. yes today the crew did manage to snatch a loss from the jaws of victory.but when the end of the season rolls around well probably have done the same thing to a few other teams(as well as having this happen to us poor brew fans a few times). its a looong season crap happens.

someone should tell ned we have a few more players in the bullpen other than bottalico, santana, wise, and phelps. the way we neglect a young arm like JDLR in a five run situation and trot out a struggling davis for another inning is terrible. and someone who has been used the last two days in Bottalico is even worse.BTW i belive its everyones hero mike maddux who helps make the decison on what pitchers come in. everyone makes mistakes i guess

Another two hits for salome tonight along with a stolen bag. we know he has a cannon for an arm, though he cant seem to bring the ball in real well. is there any info out there about his speed? he has two stolen bags, its just rookie league,But a catcher with some speed would only ad to my man crush.
