With the parade coming, I wanted to show off the best Brewers card in my collection and look back at what Jackson Chourio did this year.
The card: 2025 Topps Pristine, Precisionaries insert, #PR-25, Superfractor 1/1. The Superfractor is the gold swirl parallel at the top of Topps’ chrome ladder, and only one is made. This is the only copy of this card.
The back is my favorite part. Topps wrote it after his 2024 rookie year, pointing out that his 43 combined homers and steals were the most of any rookie that season. Two years later, that blurb is out of date in the best way.
The year in one sentence: At 22, he won a World Baseball Classic title in March and a World Series title in October.
WBC (March): Venezuela won its first-ever Classic, beating the USA 3–2 in Miami. Chourio was one of three Brewers players, plus coach Nestor Corredor, to come home with a WBC title.
Regular season, a career year almost everywhere:
127 G, .291/.351/.487, .837 OPS, 129 OPS+, 25 HR, 23 SB, 96 R, 75 RBI, 4.9 bWAR
.291 ranked 7th in the NL
Big September: from Aug. 27 into mid-September he hit .377/.402/.675 with six homers
Home was even better: .313/.396/.537 with 15 HR in 280 PA

2024: 3rd in NL ROY voting behind Skenes and Merrill. 2025 was limited to 131 games by a hamstring.) That’s three straight 20/20 seasons before his 23rd birthday.
World Series, where he put himself next to two legends:
Game 3: youngest player with a four-hit World Series game since Joe Garagiola in 1946
Through Game 4: 10 hits, tying Babe Ruth’s 1928 record for most hits in the first four games of a Series
He was the odds-on World Series MVP favorite going into Game 5. Contreras got the trophy, and he earned it hitting .381. Nobody’s complaining.
Full postseason: 13 G, .288, 2 HR, 9 RBI, 3 SB
The Crew went 11-2 and beat the two-time defending champion Dodgers on the way. Chourio was right in the middle of it.
So: WBC ring, World Series ring, a career year, a Ruth comparison, and one card in the world that captures it. I don’t think we’ve seen the best of him yet.
Let me know if interested!
