  1. It was pretty laughable down in AZ looking at the empty stadium. We could have had that stadium pretty loud if we could have ever managed a lead.
  2. Well I havent posted on here much lately, or much at all you could say, but I do often check up on the site to see what is going on with Brewer Nation back home. I thought I would maybe add my insight for what its worth, to this topic. I live in Las Cruces, NM and I absolutely love it. Its definitely not as large of a city as you are maybe looking at, somewhere slightly over 100k, I would guess. Its hard to tell as they keep building houses by the hundreds around here. I am 24 and with the school here and the art scene over in Mesilla, good times are to be had. The weather is great, not so cold like Albuquerque can be in the winter. If you get sick of the desert and the sunshine and the lack of trees you can be in resort towns up in the mountains like Ruidoso or Cloudcroft in a little over an hour. If you need more people you can be in El Paso in 45 minutes, Albaquerque in 3 hours, or Tuscon in less then five. We go up to Albaquerque from time to time to mix it up and hit up different casinos. Its ok, but there are definitely places you have to avoid and it is kind of dirty. Thats just my take on the subject. But I love the southwest and am extremely glad I moved down here. Plus the economy seems to be doing well down here. There are lots of government jobs to be had, so you have a real diverse city with people from all over the country.
  3. No longer have extra tickets, but i might have some an extra bobble head or two if anyone needs one.
  4. Its looking like i might have two extra tickets to the game on friday. Not 100% sure as of right now, but you can email if you are interested and I will keep you posted. Thanks johnny.vanderveen@gmail.com
  5. Also looking for four tickets to the game.
  6. I have never heard this brought up on the site during any of the conversation on the gyroball, but i picked this out of a sporting news article on the mythical pitch Steve Palazzolo, a Brewers minor leaguer who learned the gyroball from [Will] Carroll, also says it is real but acknowledges he has never thrown one in a game. "It's a real pitch, and it's effective when it's thrown properly," he [Palazzolo] says. "But I don't know if it's going to be groundbreaking or revolutionary. It would take someone learning to master it." Obviously the existance of this pitch has long been debated on this site, but I thought some people might find this tidbit interesting to say the least. 7. I quote Jim Mora on this one "Playoffs? Don't talk about playoffs. Are you kidding me? Playoffs? I'm just hoping we can win a game, another game."
  8. That was one of those "they wont see this coming" things that just backfired. Funny though
  9. Well im gonna look ahead and see a loss if we trott out Demaria in the ninth again. If that doesnt happen i do not know what to tell ya.
  10. We really need a seven inning start to keep that woeful bullen off the field.
  11. So Im watching ESPN do their live in game Bonds breaks and i accidently found myself cheering for the Cubs. God save my soul!
  12. Why can Turnbrow only pitch in save opps. I just dont understand it
  13. Two two out RBI's for Billy. That is clutch!
  14. Good to see cappy can get a win without the ten runs of support he has become so used to.
  15. From fanball.com Athletics closer Huston Street has a slight muscle strain on the right side of his chest that will keep him out of action at least through Friday, according to the Associated Press. "It's my pec minor and it's minor," Street said. "Right now it's April and we've got 140 games to play. There's no use blowing it out now. ... I want to be out there for my teammates. That's my job." So its just a precautionary thing, atleast thats my interpertation.
  16. four innings only 49 pitches, so far so good for sharpie. I hope he keeps it up and takes us deep.
  17. we need a dp to keep pujols from the batting box
