  1. What happened In the 3rd? I don't understand gamedays play by play. Did Parra strikeout, yadi get throw down to the shortstop to get Segura and then the shortstop throw to the third baseman to get garza - all in the same play? If so, why isn't it considered a triple play?
  2. Offering a county stadium blue padded seat for sale. $200 or best offer. Looking to sell -- my dad bought it when County Stadium was torn down and he passed away a few weeks ago - even though I'm a big baseball fan I was only 10 when the stadium was torn down so I don't really have much attachment to the seat. I would rather have someone who would really want it and use it and that has fond memories of county stadium to have it. I can meet in the Milwaukee area for drop off, also will be headed to Madison in a few weeks so I could drop off anywhere between Milwaukee and Madison as well. Further, for any of those living way up north I will be headed all the way up to Vilas County in July so if you live up north and near hwy 51 I could drop it off there as well. see my ebay listing for a picture - and note the 20% off I'm willing to give a fellow brewerfan.net member! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=221453350658 EDITED 6/14/2014 - Chair has been sold!
  3. Am I missing something here or is there a chance that the Brewers could play TWO home tiebreaker games? According to the playoff tiebreaker rules at mlb.com http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20120907&content_id=38029316&vkey=news_mlb_nd&c_id=mlb Three-Club Tie for One Wild Card Spot: After Clubs have been assigned their A, B and C designations, Club A would host Club B on Thursday, October 4th (tentatively). The winner of the game would then host Club C on Friday, October 5th (tentatively) to determine the Wild Card Club. If the brewers were to be club A, and were to win the first game would they not play at home again on Friday the 5th? Also, if the brewers were playing a tiebreaker game on Friday the 5th, when would the Wild Card Play - In game (most likely in Atlanta) be played? MLB's website seems to say that the Division Series games will start on Sat the 6th. Maybe MLB would have to push the game back a day then?
  4. UGH! The brewers must have the worst official scorer in all of baseball. Not a single fricken call ever goes the brewers way. I'm sure that if a brewers pitcher had a no hitter going with two out in the ninth and a slow roller is hit to prince and he completely blows it the official scorer would probably still rule it a hit! Sorry for the rant..I'm just frustrated.. C Hart is on my fantasy team too..so much for that hit..
  5. Anyone have a link to the rickie weeks injury picture from post #218? It won't load on my browser. Edit: Found a link to the picture at http://images.4chan.org/sp/src/1311817078259.jpg
  6. Is it me or have there been several questionable managerial calls: 1st) Take out Marcum after the 1st inning - If it turns out he just wasn't feeling good and didn't want to risk injury then I'm fine with it. If RR just took him out because he had one bad inning than I have a problem with it. 2nd) Bringing in Herrera in a 2 run ball game. If Herrera was pitching well then i'd understand but since he did terrible against the cubs and the Sox and a better hitting team i just don't get it. 3rd) The infield in with runners on 1st and 3rd with no-one out...Counsell would have turned two if he weren't playing in. Also, I looked on baseball reference and since 2005 only 7 of 78 teams have won after they've taken out their starter after 1 IP and 2 or more R's given up...looks like it will be 7 of 79 after tonight. Edit: Left Hip flexor strain for marcum...
  7. See link below: http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20100809&content_id=13236170&vkey=news_mlb&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb Interesting Player of the Week Facts - Braun is the first player this year to win without hitting a HR- Jose Bautista, Miguel Cabrera and Roy Holliday have won 2 times this year- Of the 35 players to win, 8 have been pitchers and 27 have been position players- The last brewer not named Ryan Braun to win was Prince Fielder in 2008- I have no life for spending the last 30mins looking this stuff up
  8. If you look at the box score for this game, under the brewers baserunning it shows PO: Weeks (2nd base by Pucetas). On the giants side it shows this Pickoffs: Pucetas (Weeks at 2nd base). Is MLB keeping track of Pickoffs and times picked off this year? I only ask this question because I've never seen this before (I think in a box score its always just shown up as a CS).
  9. Per Ken Rosenthal's Tweet http://twitter.com/Ken_Rosenthal/status/7416599865 (fixed the link - hawing)
  10. Attention All Brewerfan.netters, I'm looking for anyone who would like help out UW Madison Club Baseball. We are holding a Golf Outing fundraiser on Sunday September 13 from 9am-2pm at Foxboro Golf Club in Oregon, WI. For just $70/per person you get 18 holes with a cart, a free lunch and a chance to win fabulous door prizes. Can't make it or not good at golf? No worries, you can always help out in other ways. For $100 you can sponsor a hole. Or if any of you could donate door prizes that would work. I know we have some people that have connections in baseball and if they could get us anything that would really help (i.e. lower field fees or a autographed baseball for a door prize) that would be greatly apprieciated. Finally any cash donations would be accepted please pm me or email me at "dffisher AT wisc.edu" if you would like to help out Thank you in advance (muddled e-mail a bit to help ward off spambots --1992)
  11. I am moving to campus..I'll be a freshman this year. If University Housing doesn't carry FSN, I'll just have to watch the archived games on MLB.TV then. Thanks for your input.
  12. Calling all Madison brewer fans! I'm moving from Milwaukee to Madison in a few days...I'm wondering how I can still watch my beloved brewers play. If i buy MLB.TV will I be able to watch the brewers games or will they be blackedout? If I can't use MLB.TV is there any other way to watch the brewers in Madison? Thanks in advance for your help. Mods - If this belongs in a different area please move it there
  13. Perfect Game Crosschecker(Patrick Ebert)'s interview with Brewers Scouting Director Bruce Seid http://www.pgcrosschecker.com/articles/DisplayArticle.aspx?article=779 Mods- feel free to lock this if it has been mentioned elsewhere
  14. I realize there is another thread on where to find them. But I'm wondering if any brewerfan.netter has 4 tickets to the Mens March 1 game against Michigan..if you would like to sell them please PM me. Thank you
  15. I've always wondered why the Brewers don't offer Spring Training Packages like other teams do. Is there a reason that they don't?
