"I'm going to ________, what should I do?" thread - Denver, CO edition -edit- What I did in stupid Denver

Will be headed to Denver at the end of this week for a a long weekend of work, should have 2 free nights though.

 

Ideas so far:

Recently found out that Casa Bonita really exists, and wasn't made up by South Park

Coors Brewery? Isn't that in Golden, CO?

 

Open to hear anything else

Quick recap of Denver.

 

The altitude sucks, my nose bleed for 4 days. Not a constant bleed, but everytime I blew my nose, blood. There is roughly a 3 block x 6 block part of downtown that is "touristy." Thats where Coors Fields is, the Hard Rock, hotels, restaurants, etc etc. They set it up to be walkable and have some trams running down the main drag of it. I guess it was kinda cool, but, seemed a little forced, like they wanted you to only stay in that area. It really could of been anywhere in the country, nothing too sprcial about it. Bums, LOTS of bums, EVERYWHERE. More people looking for handouts and change then in any trip to Vegas. The weather was pretty nice, lots of sun, 70s in the day, 40s at night.

I wish I'd seen this thread sooner. I woulda told you to go to Two Fisted Mario's pizza. Totally great and super cheap. And after one - two PBR tallboys you are pretty buzzed from the altitude.

 

Also, I have no idea how anyone can comprehend or make sense of all those wires and cables. Hats off to them.

That's just one of 3 trucks that have to wired like that, its pretty crazy. We guesstimated that around 2 - 2.5 miles of cables we ran for all the cameras and trucks.
