Braun's stance

I've been wondering this year, and finally time to ask. When he's awaiting a pitch, has his bat always pointed out infront of him? Most players have their bats wrapped behind their heads...or at least pointing behind them (at varying angles). But Braun's bat is pointing the direction that's normal for lefties.

Nobody really picked up on your post last summer, so what the heck… lets leave this topic open. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I've closed the other one.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

1992casey, I'm obviously no expert, but the bat appearing to start farther in front could explain why Braun has had trouble hitting fat pitches for the last two years. He's still a deadly hitter, but he's swung through so many fat ones that he would have belted in 2008-09. I wonder if the bat is causing him to be a tick slow, especially with fastballs

Braun has played hurt much of the past two years. That's far more responsible for his lack of power at times. You can go to his monthly splits and see almost exactly when he was banged up. It's incredible his BA has barely suffered.
