Older brother of Jerry Narron. Seems like a good hire to me. Looks like he was a big part of turning Josh Hamilton around. Was previously in the Brewers system. Was also a part of the success of that Texas offense.

Was with the Brewers during the glory minor league years and helped get Texas bats such as Hamilton, Nelson Cruz, Kinzler rolling. I have no complaints. Good hire. Seems to be a guy who is connected with his players and respected. I was hoping Guerrero would get his shot but Narron works

How long before Sam Narron becomes pitching coach?

Is there any way coaching can become the "new moneyball"? Obviously there's no real reliable way to measure a coach's impact, but they're certainly important cogs in the machine.

 

I have faith that Ron Roenicke is going to make good hires & will surround himself with good coaches, I just wish he'd get out of his own way in-game.
