  2. They lost me for the season once he started a game at 1B. Haven't watched more than an inning here or there since. There's too much good baseball being played to waste my time with the garbage that the Brewers put on the field.
  3. I think he was definitely a long-term user. No reason to think otherwise. I think fans that are clinging to the "he just decided to take steroids for the playoffs" are quite naive.
  4. Not that what they're saying is wrong, but those are some pretty high horses. I chuckled when Schilling said the collector had his life ruined. I had the same reaction at the rubes that defended Braun and cried that his good name was being ruined by big bad ESPN, while he still had $140 million plus coming to him at the time. The poor guy!
  5. Definitely hope the collector does go after him. Braun deserves everything that comes to him.
  6. Sights set firmly on that 7th seed.
  7. B2B rainouts and a 20inning game sure must have been nice to esentially not skip a SP's turn. Go figure why Marlins skipped Slowey for who they sent to start today. Jose Fernandez is waaaay better than Kevin Slowey, so I am guessing that was why they went with him.
  8. Honestly, my general thoughts on the franchise are that I really don't like it all that much anymore. I haven't watched much of them since Betancourt started playing, because I figure I have MLB.TV so that I can watch the baseball that I enjoy. So, I watch teams that are fun to me, like Oakland, Cleveland, Texas, the entire AL East, etc. and players that I actually like. The past offseason was a huge part of it for me. I just grew sick of Melvin (whom I have almost always been a staunch defender of here) - especially going into the season without a first baseman and with a weak starting rotation. This team is rudderless and are pretty much headed into Bucks territory right now, as far as being mired in mediocrity (possibly at best). I want them to tear it down and go young, but their top trade chip is not going to be moved anytime in the next few years and the farm system is weak and I don't care to see any of them at the MLB level at this point. And I have doubts that ownership will ever want to do a full rebuild.
  9. I firmly believe there will be no suspensions for anyone. It's becoming more and more clear by he day that MLB has nothing and is just blustering. I don't think there's anything "clear" about this whole situation.
  10. At this point, I am just hoping this wraps up quickly so he can serve as much of the suspension (hopefully all of it) during this season.
  11. The Steve Austin Show is FANTASTIC. Has anyone been listening to the TINSTAAPP podcast? I'm torn on what I think about it.
  12. I would prefer a Saturday since I have a three hour trip each way, but I could probably make a Sunday work.
  13. There have been plenty of guys with great physical talent that have turned out to not be good players, though. I would be saying the same stuff about him whether the Brewers had him previously or not.
  14. Man, do people love scrappy white dudes with neat little nicknames.
