My nephew's at this game with a school group. He made what he told me is an "awesome" sweep sign for today's game, before Tuesday's game started. That is confidence.

Well, then, you overlooked my attempt to keep it clear with the J. Gomez.

I have to admit, Jeanmar is a pretty cool sounding first name.

With a couple of off days next week I wonder if they plan on sending Burgos down after the game. Based on the schedule it does not look like he would be needed until May 14th.

They'll probably keep him around just in case, long gu in the pen for the meantime. Unless they want another relief pitcher.

What they need to do is send down Prince and Davis and get them some at bats. Really need Ramirez back, it's getting frustrating as they keep saying he's coming back, first on the road trip, then early homestand, now maybe this weekend. Really need him back so we can stop seeing Gonzalez in the lineup too.

The bench is razor thin they need to be a little more proactive about getting Davis and Prince action. Davis I can see alittle bit why because of lack of flexibility, but Prince could easily have been helping spell Yuni, Weeks, and Gonzalez more

For those with the Directv sports package, the Brewers game is on channel 659...it should be blacked out but it's not...at leat for now.

For those of you that dislike the Brewers announce team, you need to turn this one on if possible. These guys are horrible, particularily the color guy, not certain who it is.

And now it's blacked out, got 20 minutes at least. I hate having afternoon games not on TV!!! :(

Segura reaches when Jones drops a ball at first base, promptly steals second and Braun with a solid single up the middle to score him. Gotta love it!

I think most people here view Brian as one of the best in the business and Bill as better than average. The Pirates' guys are pretty bad.

Silly blackout rules; I miss fewer games per year than those of you in Wisconsin due to the blackout rules.

That kind of impatient AB is exactly what prevented Gomez from taking the next step for years and exactly what he didn't do in April which is why he has been so good.

Missed a big chance there. Second and third, one out, then loaded and couldn't push any other runs across. At least made him throw some pitches, and at least we got the one.

I actually kind of liked what I saw on strike three, as odd as that may sound. It was a low-outside slider (and we know how bad most of our Brewers are with those). Upon watching the replay, it looked like Gomez actually waited too long to swing; it was like he was making sure that it was going to be close enough to offer at since he had two strikes. When he realized he was going to have to protect the plate and started to swing, the ball broke and his missed it. It was a nice pitch.

Now that my channel is blacked out, resorting to the gamecast...and it sure looks like Burgos is getting an awful lot of the plate with his pitches...accurate?

Good to see Aoki get a day off. I'm starting to get a little worried about the league adjusting to him, even though he's been one of my favorite Brewers since very early in 2012. That said, he seems like he's heady enough to be able to adjust back.

Hopefully the day off helps.

I'm feeling a big day for Luc. Starting this inning.

That's longer than I got! It was blacked out here less than 5 min after 10am

Aoki is still drawing his walks and HBP, so I'm not too concerned. Everyone goes through slumps.

Agreed. I certainly haven't hit the panic button yet.

Burgos has been efficient so far. 54 pitches through 4.

Shadows a factor today? I'm with Ueck and Joe this afternoon.

Dear Carlos Gomez,

I love your energy. I love your defense. I love when you hit home runs and bunt for hits and steal bases. I love all of your five tools.

Dear Yuni,

Every time you come to the plate I doubt you can keep up this insane hitting display. Most times you prove me wrong. I am glad to eat crow.

So at some point, Yuni is going to stop hitting I'm sure...but until then, enjoy the ride, because this is pretty awesome, especially coming from a completely unexpected (and mostly hated) source.
