  1. What? That is all you see around here can't do anything right.
  2. Which is exactly what teams like the Brewers take advantage of. Other teams trade and sign has beens that are beyond their best years and Brewers get a more talented guy that is cheaper. It's kind of necessary in the current structure of MLB with players taking so long to get paid what they are worth but leaves opportunity for other more frugal teams.
  3. Regarding Caballero and the pitch clock he has been doing that for a while, I know they don't see the Yankees much but somebody on the Brewers staff should know that. It was the correct call, everything is very technical now, umps are getting calls reversed by less than .1 inches so they will call something like that every time, no ump show there. Contreras did a good job adjusting after.
  4. I would put Patrick at meeting expectations and not underperforming but splitting hairs at that point. Also depends on individual expectations as I thought Turang would play at a MVP level so meeting my expectations.
  5. With Jones gone the Brewers have an open 40 man spot plus there is no way Priester is back before his 60 days so the Brewers have availablility on the 40 man if they want to add a guy like Leonard..
  6. Was expecting worse news on Chourio so good with him in LF instead of Black being in the lineup.
  7. Will be interesting to see what transactions are made and what the lineup looks like. Would like Murphy to get creative a bit and try to get Vaughn/Bauers/Black all in the same lineup against Leahy but thinking not.
  8. He's been doing that all season, all his career yet his still productive when he plays. Nothing has changed. After five years in the majors he finally crossed the one season 162 game threshold and is a 4 WAR player.
  9. Lucroy Interview I don't know if this is a new interview or not but interesting to hear Lucroy talk about being traded and how it went down. Not sad that Stearns is gone, sounds like a piece of work. Kind of annoying former players Cody Allen and Kevin Pillar always interupting but a good listen from Lucroy.
  10. Nope, that was paid in 2025 as part of his 2025 contract,
  11. Sure seems like they sold at the correct time with Collins, just didn't get the right guy back in return. Although with all of these injuries to the outfield Collins would be an upgrade.
  12. Not a big fan of Woodford but give him credit for pitching three innings in only 35 pitches to give others a rest. Interesting that Drohan was given the ball in a tight ballgame in the 6th, maybe gaining some trust. Dread the lineup against lefties but hopefully Sanchez continues to play at a MVP level against them.
  13. I agree with Jopal that the Brewers won't commit a large amount of money and years for an aging veteran. However, there is an in between that we are not real sure about. As noted, we know they will pay or perhaps even overpay on one year deals, maybe they would stretch it to 1.5 years.Would they be willing to trade the prospects, maybe not, but not out of the question.
  14. I always like going to https://www.mlb.com/brewers/news/brewers-injuries-and-roster-moves as they continually update injury news. Per the last update he will be evaluated after the Pirates series so should hear something today or tomorrow with the next step.
  15. He is still pretty dominant against lefties so if used correctly can still be effective. However can't assign a role like 8th inning guy, needs to be more situational. If they are ever up a bunch or down a bunch that would be a good opportunity to give him more shots at right handed batters.
