Suter adds a decent bat to the lineup at least. Pick up the win and maybe stay in first at the end of the day if the Cubs lose.

Let's get this done!

Can someone explain why Nate Orf continues to be called up to the show while we have Santana in AAA? Now back to Perez in right. I just do not understand this team. It took a whole year to get rid of Sogard. Now we are gifting a spot to a dude who has one more big league hit than I do. Ridiculous.

Santana won't be up till he figures it out in the minors.

Your judging Orf on what, a dozen AB? Nice sample size. His spots not a gift, it was probably more earned in the minors than anyone on the team.

In the 30 minutes between games Perez went from clean up hitter to 7 hole in game 2.

The fact that we need to start him both games of a double header shows exactly where we're at with health. He is a versitile utility guy. He's not a MLB regular. We need our higher upside guys be healthy and producing.

Here they go again.

It's 0-0

My god, can we hold of on the negativity until their actually, you know, losing???

Or maybe until the Pirates get a runner past first base???

Who would you rather have up here right now? You're telling me Santana is not a better option in right than Broxton or Perez? Orf isn't starting either game in a doubleheader. What does that tell you?

Yes, I'd rather have Broxton or Perez over Santana right now.

We need the Santana from last year. You can't fix major issues in MLB. Look at Arcia when he was called right back up. Still sucked, nothing fixed. Let Santana stay down till he finds the power he had last year. Bringing him back with nothing fixed isn't solving anything.

Yes Sir!

But only as long as Hader wouldn't be allowed in the game!

I'm not sure getting swept in a 5 game series is going to make a very convincing argument to Stearns to pursue Machado. For one thing Stearns isn't very prone to make a panic move in desperation and for another Stearns is probably going to think even harder about giving up significant prospects for a rental if he thinks that a play-in wild card game is the most likely best case scenario.
