Can't blame them and, frankly, I believe them. I don't mind the HOF level alumi being there, especially Yount becuse I think he stays connected to the team, but everyone else is meh. Have a Jenkins day at a game or something but this actually is about this team doing something no one else has.

I love how folks go from "the playoffs are a crapshoot" to "we are winning again next year". The best teams often lose in the playoffs. Even if the Brewers are the best team and everything goes right, still no guarantee. Back to back is incredibly difficult. We don't even know what rosters are going to look like at this point. Opinions are good but and everyone is entitled to their own, but its just opinions until it happens.

At least Pratt and Jackson at the Bucks game

Neither was under this regime and they thought they had a perennial MVP candidates. Both were far better players than Contreras and I love William. More recent comps would be Adames, Burnes, Peralta. They are not signing William and, frankly, I don't think they should.

Nobody "is" the Brewers. Thats kinda the point. Sure, hard decisions but I would almost guarantee they will not lock William into a long term deal. They are not going to lock anyone that age into a long term deal. That is just not how they operate and they are relentless in how they operate. Churning players and getting rid of stars when the time is right is what they do.

Obviously first base will be the big question. Assuming they have zero faith in guy like luke Adams, they will need to find someone to replace Bauers whose approach at the plate really drove a lot of what the Brewers did. Gonna be hard to replace him. I'd love to see a big bat added. I think they live with third as it is and give Made some time at AAA but I don't believe they make an addition. Other than that, I would love to see some veteren arms added to the bullpen and rotation. A Miley/Quintana type add to the rotation and whom ever they can dig up in the pen. They will have Hardin and Crow in the minors for depth and I really like Cameron Wagoner too. I think if they make a few smart adds (and one big one at first) they are going to be just fine and, potentially, even better.

Boy, if they can figure out Harrison and Preister, that would be a fever dream rotation.

LOL, Maybe Murph can coach this team and instill some discipline.

I'm convinced they can't play a game without losing at least three starters.
