Bill Schroeder will cover minimal road games in '23

BA is hardly ever around anymore, and when he is, he isn't clued in to a lot of things Brewers related.

He's great, don't get me wrong, but I'd like him to just leave so we can bring in a regular again...

With no Bill how will we know if a hitter keeps his hands back in the zone?

Bill having Health Issues?

add that to BA missing games too do do his other sports gigs

He's 65 now and travel is a grind, especially the flights in the middle of the night.  The new schedule probably is a factor too.  They'll be fewer short quick flights to NL Central cities, all of which are short.

I've seen some dissenting opinions on here, but I love Dillard in the booth. I hope he's an internal candidate for the full-time job whenever one opens.

I liked him when he first started doing it...but it quickly cratered from there. I am not much of a fan.

I guess this is good news. Id rather have Rottino's awkwardness and Dillard's exaggerated goofiness than Rock's stale phrases.

meh, I like Rock.  It's BA that needs to go.  All he is now is a guest announcer.  Never has a good feel for what is going on with the team anymore.  Seems like he just shows up, maybe reads some notes that a producer hands him, talks for a game, then looks forward to his next high profile gig.  Why do the Brewers bother with him anymore?

I've mentioned this before, but I think that being a baseball announcer for an entire season's worth of game for the same team and fanbase is really, really challenging and there are very few (I don't really know their names), that I would pick over BA and Rock. I think Chris Singleton is the only one that has guest hosted that I really liked, and I believe he's a national guy for ESPN radio. I wouldn't mind at all if it was a rotating band of guys, as that helps to prevent the stale-ness.

I don't know how Brock and others have put up with the Twins' broadcast teams of recent vintage... unbelieveably boring. I'd have to turn off the volume for every game.
