  1. There's something spiritually empty about a winning team with one non-reliever homegrown player of note. The Brewers front office is the best in the business, and we just got to watch the best season in franchise history with a team made up entirely of "average joes" and savvy trades.
  2. I'm not even sure a salary cap would fully work. The Dodgers and Yankees would still have a massive built-in advantage from the marketing dollars attached to their feeble-minded fanbases. Baseball needs more aggressive rules to enforce parity, like forfeiting draft picks after consecutive LCS/WS appearances. The competitive balance picks as they exist are a bit of a joke. I also think a salary floor might have an even bigger impact than a salary cap. The fact that numerous teams don't bother bidding on free agents is a big part of why the Dodgers can fill out their roster with quality players. It's not just the ability to sign the megasuperstars. The commissioner's office also needs to be shaken up in their corrupt, preferential treatment of the Dodgers. The Sasaski deal should have been voided and the Dodgers should still be paying Bauer.
  3. With only one solid SP (in the playoffs) and two guaranteed BP games, I don't see how you can't go with 13 pitchers. Lockridge is a luxury.
  4. Uribe not looking that great tbh but hey it's working lol
  5. Sure are missing Brandon Woodruff right now....
  6. Nothing wrong with a bunt attempt there, it just wasn't executed properly.
  7. Haha I immediately guessed it was Donaldson. Former MVP at the end of a storied career who was about to retire and seemed to be putting in a commensurate amount of effort down the stretch.
  8. I'd much rather face the Cubs than Manny Machado in the playoffs again 😄
  9. Hoskins would have been a lock for my postseason roster, but he's so obviously not in the team's plans (they only gave him 10 PA the entire month of September) it's a waste of energy to even discuss 😂
  10. Didn't this clown make fun of the idea of somebody signing with Milwaukee a few years back? I'll pass, considering he's not good anymore.
  11. Hoskins is making $17 million, has more playoff experience than anyone other than Yelich, and was having a nice rebound season before his injury. I get that Murphy is playing the hot hand right now, but seems crazy that Hoskins wouldn't be on the playoff roster even if just as a PH.
  12. A 2025 Chad Patrick type performance will also work! He's still somehow second on the team in pitcher fWAR. 😅
