Before you call the #5 seed lucky, the last two teams to qualify for the playoffs despite a losing record won their first round games (2010 Seahawks, 2014 Panthers) and the Eagles are resting many of their starters today too so I don't think they want any part of the Packers.

If I were the Eagles I would prefer the Packers over the 49ers.  The 49ers offensively are a better team than the Packers and defensively they are starting to get somewhat healthy.

If I am the 5th seed I would prefer to play the Panthers over playing the Eagles or the Bears.  Plus playing in Carolina is a far better option for the 49ers or the Rams as it would play into their strengths offensively over playing in Philadelphia or Chicago where it could be a detriment to their offensive play style.

I'm telling you, the Jaguars are going to win the AFCS. Book it.

Turnovers are largely the result of luck. It's why I didn't think our defense was actually top 5-6 last year... but I do this year(though it was a bad game vs Dallas).

Is that confidence in the Jags or a lack of confidence in the Colts?

Yes and yes.

LOL Burrow pulled a Farve on that record breaking sack.  Though this one wasn’t as bad as the Farve one.

There is no way that the Eagles prefer to face the 49ers over us.

They don’t control their own destiny, and they likely don’t expect the Bears to lose. I think that has a lot more to do with it.

Its only a quarter in, but i think expecting the Bears to walk to an easy home win against a Lions team that is playing their starters but with nothing to play for is wrong.

I think its more of the Eagles not caring where they go for the divisional round if their defensive front and secondary are healthy.  After watching a really good Seahawk defense shut down the 49ers last night, the Bears arent steamrolling over anyone in the playoffs with their defense and a qb making his first postseason start.

As a Packer fan, I'm rooting for a tight Bear win so GB has their best shot at winning a playoff game and getting on an unexpected run.  The injuries suck, because honestly no team in the NFC is head and shoulders better than the Packers.

Fluky play to end Colts-Texans.  Said to my wife "watch Houston score a defensive TD on this play".  What a way for Indy to cap their dismal downfall.  And I had to look it up, it didn't cause any $$$ to change hands.

IMO the 3 teams in the West are clearly better.

But each of them also have flaws - I think they are better, but not 3+ score blowout better.

A healthy Love, receiver corps minus Kraft, mostly healthy Oline, and decently healthy Jacobs can score on anyone enough to be in a competitive game in the 4th quarter

Yeah as gross as it is, I imagine they flip the script on the North’s performance last year. I wouldn’t be shocked if all of them win their first game, and do it fairly handily.

I said it early in the 3rd quarter a few weeks ago before the Packers decided to beat themselves, this Bear team is a total fraud.

Bear talking heads on sports radio this week stating "I like our chances against anyone if the defense can generate 2-3 turnovers each game"...no kidding, fools.  When you don't get that, you get beat.

They are but they are easily capable of beating the wounded duck pretending to be the Packers. I really hope Washington hangs on. Playing Philadelphia is going to be another nap of a playoff game. I have no Super Bowl hopes but playing the Bears again should at least be fun, and played with house money. The Eagles will just be a bore.

Oh I agree - I think the Eagles are going to the super bowl again and would win a boring game against this wounded Packers unit.

Despite the injuries, this Packer team can still readily beat the Bears next weekend

Dan Campbell should be fired before MLF...some of the most idiotic playcalls/decisions have cost the Lions a playoff spot this year.

Weird that i was actually happy they just tried that crap at midfield so it stays a 1 score game, since the Eagles are up, too.

The Lions blew that drive so badly. Wow. Maybe run the ball?

I'm not a tinfoil hat....but if there was ever a game that would prove the NFL is rigged and coaches are on the take, the 4th quarter of this Bears Lions game would be exhibit A proof

He has about as much clock awareness as MLF too. They keep insisting on stopping the clock on this drive with running out of bounds and incomplete passes when it would behoove them to run the ball and make the Bears burn time outs. Now they are probably going to lose this game.

Looks like Commanders back in front...would like to see a walkoff FG by the Lions now - assuming Campbell has the Lions to win on Draft kings

The Bears could still easily beat the Packers next weekend, but that's the best chance the Packers have to winning their 1st playoff game.

Wow that was bad by the eagles backup QB

I don't understand why Siriani was content to go into the playoffs as the #3 seed.

The Rams kind of did the same thing last year when they were going to get Minnesota if they lost who was 14-3.

I think at the end of the day coaches feel there’s so much parity in the NFL that rest and health should be prioritized over opponent.
