Brewers Video
Transactions:
- Nashville Sounds sent RHP Carlos Rodriguez on a rehab assignment to ACL Brewers.
- Carolina Mudcats placed RHP Jack Hostetler on the full-season injured list.
Jesus Made was called out on strikes in the first inning by the switch-pitcher the Brewers drafted but didn't sign:
In the bottom of the 4th, Made singled on a ground ball to second base, deflected off White Sox LHP Noah Schultz. He would score on this HR.
Made lined out to center field off Royals 2021 7th overall pick LHP Frank Mozzicato in the 5th inning of this seven-inning game. He would be replaced in the field to begin the 6th inning (Made played second base without any chances).

Nashville Slugs Their Way to Series Lead Over Durham - Sounds Collect 13 RBI on Three Home Runs Including Cameron's Grand Slam
I had to check this note from the game summary:
"Cameron's five RBI game gave him his 27th RBI in 14 games with the Sounds."
The Nashville staff included three RBI with Milwaukee, so the number is actually 24 RBI in 14 games, but still...
Last three starts for Logan Henderson - 15 IP, 1 BB, 15 K.
We see you, Jeferson -
If you're going to earn a Golden Sombrero, the time to do is when your team wins in a rout. This player has been excellent in 2025, so unless you click the box score, he'll remain anonymous.

Lara Reaches Base 3 Times in Shuckers Loss to Barons - Brewers No. 20 prospect extends league lead with 23rd double, becomes 3rd Southern League player to 50 walks
Friday night's Link Reporter wrote:
Cooper Pratt has now missed a full week of action (last played on Friday July 4th), and with the All-Star Break looming, it would be almost shocking at this point to see him back this weekend.
Well, consider that Link Reporter pleasantly surprised. When it comes to trying to predict player status during absences, we shouldn't be shocked that speculation is misguided more often than not.
Pratt was the DH and walked and struck out one time each in five trips to the plate. A year ago, to the day, he was in the Futures Game.
We will never tire of the Beach Chickens logo -

We really have to appreciate what Luis Lara is doing at age 20 and go far beyond a rudimentary .714 OPS. Javik Blake did so in the Media Notes linked above.
On the flip side, we miss 2024 K.C. Hunt. Just the one strikeout in four rough innings here. There aren't a lot of "went backwards" stories in the pipeline this season, here's hoping things spin around promptly here with the talented arm.

Rattlers Bite Back with Late Homers - Pérez & Nicasia go deep in seventh to push Wisconsin past South Bend
Is it still the "Timber Rattlers" if every Saturday home game is played under an alternate identity? I don't see the auction link for the "One Night Only" Frozen Pizza jerseys yet, but considering the proceeds go the T-Rats Giving Foundation, we'll link to that in the comments later tonight.
Looking forward to getting RHP Tanner Gillis further stretched out each time out.
Beyond the two huge home runs, Wisconsin had only two baserunners, both on singles. Making the most with what you have on the day.
Not sure if we've seen Jadher Areinamo and Blake Burke hitting 1-2 very often, but it's a wise initiative. The question remains if it'll still be viable - are roster shakeups forthcoming this week?

Payne Home Run Vaults Mudcats to Victory
Seems fitting that Braylon Payne gets to celebrate exactly one-year after celebrating his status as a first-round pick and the $3.44 million that came with it.
Awesome Bryce Meccage outing - only 81 pitches needed to get through six super-effective innings. His game log indicates a bit of an "every other start" vibe, no pressure, but we'd love to see this doubled up after the break. The nice crowd of 4,107 (awesome giveaway!) was treated by the Crew's top picks in the 2024 draft, for sure.
Not to mention, using Craig Coshun's favorite phrase, "this guy":
See you in next year's Futures Game, Luis!
Final: ACL White Sox 6, ACL Brewers 5, eight innings (scheduled for seven)
Box Score and Game Log
After winning a wild 13-12 game in walkoff fashion on Friday, this one was a tough defeat of the walkoff variety.
A-Crew led 4-2 heading to the bottom of the final scheduled inning, when RHP Carlos Carra's throwing error leading off the frame would eventually have two unearned runs (both on sacrifice flies) tie matters. A shame, because Carra was excellent, tossing scoreless ball in the three-prior innings.
Frederi Montero's single scored the ghost runner, but that was all the good guys could muster. Back-to-back doubles off of RHP Argenis Aparicio put a quick end to the game.
Burying the lead, Brewers 40-man roster RHP Carlos Rodriguez (flexor strain in right arm) made his first rehab appearance - 2.1 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 1 K, 1 HR. C-Rod retired the first six men he faced, then his 3rd inning went HR - double - popout - single - single before he was removed.
Josh Adamczewski did not play. Hopefully we see him after the break.
Final: DSL Brewers Blue 12, DSL Dodgers Mega 8
Box Score and Game Log
Just your typical trailing 6-3 heading into the top-of-the-final-inning, then score nine runs (on two hits!) totake a 12-6 lead and survive 12-8.
DSL baseball, baby!
Needless to say, I'll allow you to pore over the minutia. At this point, Dominican box scores and game logs kind of blend into this very odd concoction, no? And isn't it presumptuous to call one's team "Mega"?
Final: DSL Athletics 10, Brewers Gold 8
Box Score and Game Log
As we were saying about baseball on the island, this game was 3-2 Athletics after seven innings. Then DSL stuff happened.
Four-run Athletics 8th, oh no, this one's over, Golden Boys down 7-2.
No wait, a six-run Golden 8th inning (featuring four actual hits, including 17-year-old Matthew Moses' 2nd pro home run, a three-run shot). Moses, like every other international position player signing (those that bat right-handed at least), is listed as a shortstop, but has only played first base in his 17 games.
No wait again, Gold defense had a passed ball and two errors within a three-run 9th for the let's-not-say-Sacramento farm team. Somehow, all three runs were "earned".
Bottom of the 9th - the G-Crew managed one baserunner but drop the contest.
So, here's how the upcoming schedule rolls. Full-season teams only on Sunday. Rookie Complex League teams only on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. No games at all on Wednesday (well-earned day off, @Joseph Zarr!).
Have a great Sunday and All-Star Break, everyone, go Brewers!
