The Milwaukee Brewers selected Julian Garcia at pick No. 130 in the 2026 MLB Draft. Garcia is a right-handed pitcher out of St. John Bosco High School. The slot value for the pick is $585,700. Garcia was ranked No. 118 overall on our MLB Draft Consensus Board.
Here's what Jamie Cameron, curator of our MLB Draft Consensus Board, said about Garcia:
Garcia is a Long Beach State commit playing for nationally ranked St. John Bosco in California. After having TJ surgery a year ago, he's put together a strong spring, playing alongside fellow 2026 draft prospect James Clark. Garcia has an electric one-two punch. It's a fastball up to 97 mph that he's been able to hold velocity on deeper into his starts in 2026. It plays well at the top of the strike zone thanks to 17-19 inches of IVB. It's complimented by a hammer curveball, a 60 offering producing spin rates north of 3,000 rpms that's been a bit a huge whiff inducer for him. Garcia has also shown feel for a changeup with some tumble and fade, hinting at a potentially tough three-pitch mix for hitters to face. His injury history raises some questions, but the arm talent is real, and the college commitment should be easy to navigate if a pro organization feels convinced enough of Garcia's profile."
