Can he pitch?

He kind of reminds me of Bishop Letson.

So far it’s a pretty ho-hum start to Day 2 with guys you expect to sign at a discount. I wonder when we’ll start to see some tougher but interesting signs.

Well, there’s our cost-saving pick of Day 2.

Gotta collect ALL the guys with nasty high-spin curveballs. At least one of them’s gotta turn out to be the next Ben Sheets, right? 😆

A very Brewers type of pitching prospect with that high spin curveball. Get him in the pitching lab and see what we can get out of him.

The Cardinals are having a very solid draft so far. Not ideal.

The last high school kid we took in the first round who went earlier than expected is doing pretty good right now. Hopefully Ebel impresses just as much as Payne.

Trey Ebel it is. There’s our “surprise” underslot pick. I know there were a lot of speculation about us taking him.

Welp, Flukey to the Tigers. He was one guy I wanted.

Zion Rose going to the Royals. I’ve seen him being floated as a possibility for us, but he’s gone surprisingly early.

I’m gonna assume that our first pick isn’t going to excite many people. Typically the later rounds are where the real fun begins.
