  1. And I may be in the minority, but I also don't like anything on my brats. I love having them plain. Just give me a plain brat that snaps when you bite it, squirting juice into your mouth. Nothing else needed. I'm going to have to agree with you there. The only exception is if I give the brat a beer and onion bath before serving, then I might stick a few of those onions on top. But otherwise, much like a good steak, a good brat doesn't need any help.
  2. I know he's got a pretty cushy gig with the Food Network, but I personally think Mark Summers would be an outstanding replacement for Bob Barker.
  3. Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!
  4. I was intrigued by this blurb about Joe Thatcher in the 2007 BrewerFan.net staff preview. What is expected of him if/when he makes the major league club? I noticed from one of the articles in his player profile that he isn't a real hard thrower - low 90's with a slider and a cut fastball. So he doesn't really project to be a closer. Is he a guy that can give you a few innings of quality work? Is he more of a LOOGY? Somewhere in between? He is a guy I haven't really heard of much before outside of a quick mention, so I was just curious what his story is.
  5. Yeah, that was funny. He just started breaking stuff for no reason and yelled out "jet skies!".
  6. Mine showed up right away, but I also have PayPal charge my credit card. Pogo mentioned he used a PayPal money market, which I am assuming is a different thing. My guess is that they process those transactions differently.
  7. Getting close! The total raised on 1/18/2007 as of 12:52 pm - $620 The total raised since hawing made the first donation on 1/14/2007 - $690 Thanks for all of the hard work Brian!
  8. Yeah, the fax prank was classic. This is what I am wondering. Since Jim took the job as the #2 guy at Scranton, does that mean Michael will still be the #1 guy? And does that make Jim, Dwight?s boss? How great is that going to be?!?
  9. My favorite quotes -- Dwight: When I die, I want to be frozen. And if they have to freeze me in pieces, so be it. I will wake up stronger than ever, because I will have used that time to figure out exactly why I died, and what moves I could?ve used to defend myself better now that I know what hold he had me in. Creed: You know, a human can go on living for several hours after being decapitated. Dwight: You're thinking of a chicken. Creed: (confused) What did I say? I also very much enjoyed how Ryan and Kevin started describing movies when they talked about losses in their lives. "I could go into detail, but it would take about an hour and a half."
  10. Here's my question, and hopefully somebody can clarify this for me. What does Tony Gwynn Jr have going for him (besides his name) that make some want to give him the CF job next year, that Dave Krynzel is lacking? Their minor league numbers look pretty comparable at each level. In fact, it looks like Krynzel was the better player at each level up until Gwynn's break out AAA season. Gwynn seems to have better discipline (much better BB/K ratio), but Krynzel has the ability to drive the ball a little bit which Gwynn lacks. And I can't imagine Krynzel is that far behind defensively. Is it the fact that Krynzel's numbers declined every time he advanced a level? Or do the Brewers just not know what they have in Gwynn yet, so they are keeping him around until they find out? What am I missing here?
