  1. Madison Memorial is in state tourney in D-1, I'll root for them as they beat the school I am going to, Watertown. Otherwise, if there is a "Cinderella" team, I'll go for them in any division. Hawing, I looked up the score for Benton and they lost by 2, and I checked their roster and they only have one senior, so hopefully they can make it next year, I'll be rooting for them.
  2. One of the worst cities, but I guess this would qualify as a town, but we call it a city, is Watertown. It is really boring and nothing goes on at all. The only times something happens is if Riverfest happens, a big attraction, and homecoming for our football team. Otherwise, it is a very boring town and everyone should not try to come here to search for fun.
  3. Exactly, Hanley is a great player and my brother loves him. But as for Hall, I think that people have too lofty of expectations for him considering that he carried our team last year and is struggling this year. Hopefully he will finish nicely and use that for next year. As for the "excessive" celebration that BHF pointed out, I don't really tend to care what they do, as most players stand in the batter's box for half an hour looking at the ball.
  4. I think that hands down, MVP 05 was the best baseball game I have played. It's great in a lot of areas. The only major things that I have with it is that you can't hit anything outside the strike zone and it is too easy to trade prospects away.
  5. Too bad I can't hear him during D-Backs games, because I don't get the package deals. He probably is like the same as he was when he commentated with us. Hopefully he gets to announce a play for the Brewers in this series.
  6. Yeah, the stadium does keep heat inside, so they have no real option. Then again, maybe the air system at Miller Park is better than when I went to a game against the Rockies on July 4th weekend in 2002 or 2003. That night, it was hot at the start of the game and the heat stayed inside the park. When I left however, there was at least a 10 degree difference outside of the stadium.
  7. I didn't know much of the '82 team because I wasn't born yet and don't know many Brewers from '89 to the turn of the century either because I didn't watch the Brewers or my lousy memory skills have gotten me. I do know however, that fans of all types know something about their team. Even bringing up people like Jeff D' Amico or Victor Santos means that they pay attention a little bit. As for the boo birds, I did that when Aquino gave up the GS to Biggio, so I see what fans do when it comes to performance standards, otherwise it is unacceptable.
  8. All the exclusive rights deals turned me completely off videogames. Same with me. The only game that I really buy now is the NCAA Football series, but I don't think that they bought rights to that, just the game sold really well. Also, I buy a lot of used games in East Towne Mall at EB Games in Madison now. I probably won't buy Madden 08 this year because they really need to revamp the rosters and get more in-depth with the teams.
  9. I don't really know how to do the rosters, but I have it for XBOX and it is awesome. The only problem I have playing it is that it is too easy to hit unless you are facing somebody.
  10. She's got my vote, she is tied for 2nd right now at 20%
  11. YEAH!!!!!!! This is awesome!!! Great job Brewers!!! Let's keep this up!!!
  12. My understanding is he was not known as Ortiz at the time. He wasn't Ortiz at the time, he was known as David Arias. Also, it surprised me that A-Rod was with the Foxes or Timber Rattlers (whichever name they had at the time) because didn't he get called up the next year or was it in '96?
  13. I think the Nats will be decently bad, meaning they will better than teams like the Royals, Mariners, etc (including the Cubs). but worst than their division, the Brewers, and most of the NL Central (which for a whole is pretty weak, with the exception of the Brewers and Cardinals.) Overall, I think that they finish 67-95.
  14. I believe that if the Sounds move, then the fans are the ones getting screwed. They pay good money to see a good team who has won championships in the past as well as up and coming players for the Major League team, and they get a slap in the face because people can't come together and get a deal together. It is stupid to think that most anywhere in the country you could get a deal and stadium done immediately, and then you have that one team messing that up. Hopefully, there can be SOME kind of resolve or maybe the Mayor of Nashville can get into the mix because it sounds like he wants the Sounds to stay in Nashville.
  15. I like the list because it is the best case scenario. The long relief spot will be up for grabs between Sarfate and probably Jackson. I agree that Hendrickson and Clark will be traded. I also want Mench or Jenkins (or both) traded so we can guarantee a spot for Gwynn. Great list overall
