  1. The workouts and practices start around 9, and they're on the main field. There's cages you can get to from the outside too, just east of the main doors. The best luck I had (outside of pre/during/and postgame) was out in front right after the workouts. Players usually come out right by the front gates and head to their cars. Mostly in uniform too, so it makes for good pictures. I haven't bothered with the practices and workouts in recent years - it's still super easy to get them an hour before, during, and after the games. I live here though so I'll be there all month - that might change my perspective. The other practice fields south of the main park are full of the whole minor league system and super accessible. Once in a while one or two of the big leaguers will be around there, but it's not the norm. I saw Looper get drilled in the head by a comebacker a couple years ago.. but it's mostly minors unless someone needs some throws or swings. Great area for autographs though, and fun to hang around and watch. (4 fields, and 8 or so pitching areas) Doug Melvin is also trotting around often also.
  2. Nice, I just picked up a Bradley 5/5 from Valiant. I like the prices of the Leaf stuff, so I'm shunning Bowman for the time being. I need to find the Metal superfractor and I'll have a complete Leaf Jed Bradley collection http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Did you get anything awesome in your boxes? I've been picking up a case of bdp the last 5 years, but I skipped it this year (too much triple threads, marquee, and tier opening/losing)
  3. I'll be there for game 3. I have tickets in 201 row 1 seat 1 & 2, and then 4 tickets in 302 row 19... I really wish they'd say what time the game is, as this is crucial for deciding who's going with me. Night game preferred, but I'm going either way. It's really inconvenient not knowing the time, there's a lot of juggling around at work to be done. I wonder if I'll know before Tuesday. Also, it's sorta sad that there's no buzz here. I don't know whether to chalk it up as just not a baseball town, or everyone has another allegiance. (like me) I suppose for me that's fine because no sellouts means easy tickets, but jeez, in a town this big you'd figure 43,000 of these folks might like the dbacks.. Makes for nice arizona fall league games though.. with 300 in attendance, front row is guaranteed at the games!
  4. MIL 9-3 - @CIN (2-1), @CHC (2-1) FLA (2-1) PIT (3-0) STL 10-3 - @PHI (2-2) NYM (2-1) CHC (3-0) @HOU (3-0) ARI 8-4 - @SD (2-1) PIT (3-0) SF (2-1) LAD (1-2) ATL 4-8 - NYM (2-1) @FLA (1-2) @WAS (1-2) PHI (0-3) STL @ PHI (Philly in 5) ARI @ MIL I'll admit to some wishful thinking here. I live in Phoenix and I've never been to a Brewer playoff game, so this would make it a lot easier.
  5. Randy Wolf's record breaking night is in jeopardy of a rainout? Saw this neat stat on the baseball card forum I frequent: http://www.baseball-reference.com/play-index/share.cgi?id=9s8nF I'll light a cigar for that one, why not?
  6. The Brewers have had more playoff wins than the cubs in the last 7 years... therefore, we can feel free to make fun. So I feel comfortable sending the article to all my cubbie buddies.
  7. This is underway, right? Is there anyway that anyone (say, a Brewer fan in Arizona) can keep tabs on it?
  8. Hiya folks I know cards aren't the most popular collectible around these parts, but I have tons of brewers cards, and I'm looking for: Robin Yount patch cards / autographs Ryan Braun patch cards Bob Uecker autographs (balls, 8x10, index, etc) certified preferred or something else that may catch my eye.. here's a link to my bucket: http://s1121.photobucket.com/albums/l502/Kevinfleenor/Brewers%20Prospects/?start=all let me know..
  9. AHH! I got my plane tickets to Milwaukee JUST 2 DAYS AGO to arrive on the 3rd in time for Opening Day. I'm going to have to figure out if I can do a switch, because this sounds awesome - and I really want a jersey. or two. Roster guesses?
  10. I have a Yount patch from 2005 UD reflections, 2 color numbered to 99 and sitting in a new magnetic holder.. $15 Here's a scan: http://i1121.photobucket....infleenor/yountpatch.jpg
  11. That's pretty cheap on the Lucroy super. I think I paid around that for 2007 gold refractors at one time.. Miggs, Autos were: Micheal Choice, Yasmani Grandl, Justin O'Connor, Kaleb Cowart, Christain Yelich, Kolbrin Vitek, Bryce Brentz, Chavez Clarke, Matt Olson (USA) Gary Brown redemption Drew Pomeranz refractor redemption Aaron Sanchez Blue refractor, Chris Chinea Blue refractor (USA) Mike Foltynewicz Gold refractor and Sean Brady Red refractor (USA) Other color refractors of note: Christian Colon Orange, Taylor Lindsey Gold, Juan Francisco Gold, Christian Colon Blue, Zach Green Blue, Ivan Pelaez Blue, Felipe Perez Blue, and 4 other RC blues that'll sell for 2 bucks. 13 other regular prospect and usa refractors. Not great, not terribly horrendous. So what Brewers prospect cards are you guys after anyway? Want to do some trading?
  12. I busted a case a couple days ago. Nothing fantastic. Probably lost about 300 bucks - but fun break. There's only two brewer prospects, Cody Hawn and Tyler Thornburg, neither of which I pulled anything nice of. And Scooter Gennett has an aflac auto (numbered to 230) I didn't pull any aflacs from my case.
  13. I'd avoid opening cases or boxes too. But the singles are nice. Scooter's selling for more than I thought he would, but Max Walla Blue Refractors are selling for 99 cents. Really can't go wrong there. Anyone have any Lawrie cards they wouldnt mind trading/selling?
  14. That sounds really interesting. How big is it? Would love to see pics. I'm workin on a 69 coup de ville, would make for some slick decor.
