Not a quote, I was just curious what people with more baseball knowledge then me thought about Harden's pitch count. And if Piniella was the type of manager that may push a pitchers pitch count.No offence taken, It was a poorly worded title.

I was under the impression that the cubs would be careful with Harden by keeping him on a strict picth count. 100 or under. He threw 112 tonight in a great outing tonight. lou may be tempted to press Hardens pitch count with Woods on the DL Marmoll all ready having over 50 appearances and will now be the closer for awhile. It will be interesting to see how Harden and the rest of the cubs pitching holds up during this exciting pennant race the next month.

I know nothing, but LaPorta will sign a contract Monday the 18th and the Brewers Live pregame will show him having batting practice with the team before the Giants game just like others have suggested in this forum and we will all be excited and then Matt will head to West Virgina to play with the power. By the Way I like the pick. 5 tool athletes are nice when they work out. Give me power ever time

With Cappy out of tonights game with a sore groin and Yo going yesterday it looks like he would slide into that spot pretty nicely. I know CV could go in that spot, but it is nice having him in the pen. Any Thoughts?

I would also like to see it be a world draft. I think that works better for the small market teams. Currently half the talent pool can sign with the Yankees or Red Sox with no chance for the devil rays to afford them. Also it is unfair to American players who have less negotiating power than the foreign counterparts they are more restricted by the team that drafts them. In addition I would like teams to be able to trade picks. Maybe it just the fantasy football in me but I think picks are an asset of each team if they feel they can improve their team by trading that asset they should be allowed. Being able to trade draft picks would help stop the free fall of certain players due to sign ability. Players would be more likely drafted in there talent slots. Example the Yankees could trade pics 27 and 94 for the brewers pick 7. Yanks could take Porcello brewers might still get Laporta and have that extra pick. There is enough big money teams who would compete against each other. The Red Sox don't want someone to fall to the Yankees so they made trade up to get that guy.

The numbers are impressive. I was just wondering what he all thows. My understanding is he throws low 90's. What goes with that change, curve, slider? What is considered his out pitch? Looking forward to watching his next jump.
