There were some really interesting names that we just couldn’t get over the finish line last year. Seemed like the bonus pool management was excellent, but we left some $$ on the table IIRC as the last 2-3 targets went to the wire and then didn’t sign. did we have a bigger pool $$ last year, or was that because of our competitive balance pick (last year) that we traded to Boston (this year)? -

Ok Murphy. Say it with me. Pinch hit for Yelich. He’s the DH so absolutely anybody can be used with impacting our defense. how about Frelick?

Murphy would have Yelich, Rengifo, Perkins, Siegler batting 1-4 if it were up to him. he’s probably have Keston as starting SA as well 😵💫

How about we go triple big. Jettison Murphy, and then get some good players with a manager who knows how to use the i’m not sure what Yelich brings to this team other than being a good clubhouse guy.

PNC is such a beautiful ballpark. i wonder if Yelich would accept half his remaining contract as a buyout and retire. It can’t be fun anymore to be this bad. he seems like a good dude, but the guy is just flat out washed.

Imagine if we would have let Bauers hit for himself in the last game… likely would have walked in a run instead of a game ending double play, and then Lara wins it for us

I agree. The Brewers have a great system. I think we win in spite of Murphy though, not because of him. we got better when we dumped Chet, and we’ll get even better when we dump the pancake

I respect that he wins, but I doubt I will ever like Murphy.

Vaughn is a part time player. Should play against lefties for Yelich, or be a late inning PH for Ortiz, Hamilton, etc PH there for our best hitter this season makes zero sense
