I’d rather have Bauers on the QO then Vaughn at $10M they have Woody’s big contract coming off the books… I know Bill has had a down year, but I’d say his option is a no brainer. We don’t have an alternative option right now, and even if we did, I’m sure there would be trade interest in Bill.

So what would it take at this point? as noted above, a one year QO should probably be extended ($25M?), but he probably will get a bigger deal hard to overstate what he means to this offense right now. Ryan O’Hearn (from winter 2025-26) was used as a comp earlier in the summer, but this seems to go beyond that. 2027: $15M 2028: $15M 2029: $18M or $6M buyout too much, too little? plays as a 2/36 or 3/48 -

I have to give Murphy credit. He is being extremely creative in managing a short handed lineup. This far, things seem to being paying off. what can I say about Henderson. Kid is doing great today. would be massive to hang on for the final 4. How about some badger mutual insurance runs?

Looking forward to today's matchup. I'm really high on Henderson. I hope we don't push him any further than 6 innings (regardless of his pitch count), but should be fun to watch the "would be" swap that the Tigers were hoping for. While I've decided its less enjoyable to participate in the IGT during the game, will be here post-game to see how everyone feels heading home for Seattle and Atlanta. Picking up another game on LA would be great today, and maybe we'll get lucky any pick one up on ChC and the Braves. I was going to make a joke about Ortiz being in the lineup (or lack of) on a day off, but I don't know that we would even have enough healthy outfielders not to have him out there. GO BREWERS!

I would agree with this and it’s a darn shame. It’s not like we’re going to have the best record in MLB every year there comes a point where the organization becomes too conservative for its own good. I think we’ve reached this point.

Three games in San Diego, Four Games in LA... I think I'd take anything 3-4 or better along with no injuries. The Padres are playing well, and LA is in a funk. Taking 3/4 versus LA would be stellar, and maybe possible given they aren't yet in "go for it mode", which would give us the tiebreak. I think staying atleast 3-4 games ahead of the Cubs and ahead of the Braves will be key. We get a chance to put some more space between us and Atlanta in the next homestand.

Bill is my favorite player, but he’s hard to watch right now… its going to be a “prove it” year next year for sure. I’ll bet somebody will give him $100M+ but it shouldn’t be us even with his struggles, I’d probably go 3/51 or 4/70, but I think he’ll beat that
