  1. Are you guys playing online or have a local guy? I tried to get in on the Derby via TVG or Twin Spires, both of which are legal in about 50% of USA, but not Wisconsin.
  2. I deal with a lot of cheese companies at work, here is an idea what "Master's Mark" is: "Administered by the Center for Dairy Research at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, the program is open to veteran Wisconsin cheesemakers with a minimum of 10 years experience in Quality Assured plants. Candidates can seek certification for up to two cheese varieties each time they enter the three-year program. They must have been making those specific varieties for at least five years. Only certified Master Cheesemakers are eligible to use the Master's Mark® on their product. 3. As a longtime employee at one of the grocer's mentioned, let me add something even more annoying than the "strollers"...cell phone users. I'm ok with people making a quick call home to ask about a product, but the customers who are having random conversations are beyond annoying. Even better is when they ask you a question or checkout and don't even bother taking the phone off of their ear. Some of these folks are having conversations that would be better suited for a non-public setting. While we are discussing annoyances at the grocery store, here is the big one: people picking up an item and dumping it off somewhere else in the store when they decide they don't want it anymore. I just love finding a pack of ground beef tucked behind the toilet paper because someone is too lazy to put the item back...all you have to do is tell the cashier you changed your mind, we will put the item back. We have two full-time employees whose only job is to sort through the 50+ carts of shopbacks /distress we amass after a busy weekend.
  4. First, should I know that song? Awful. Second, the Zach crew was right behind us waiting to park on Opening Day. We all made a few comments about their get-ups but look at them all famous (and happy) now!
  5. We all use Virgin in my house, the three of us pay less than $100/month combined. I've had it for years and am grandfathered in at $25/month with unlimited text and data. I did pay up front for my Android phone, but I have no complaints. I'm not a phone snob who needs all the bells and whistles, I mainly use it to text and watch DirecTV Sunday Ticket app at work. Virgin runs on the Sprint network if that means anything to you. I'm in Milwaukee area and have no reception issues phone-wise, but there is really no 4G to speak of, just 3G, but again, it works for me and the price is right. Depending on how much/little you talk, you can save more. I think it's unlimited everything for $55 and if you go to a 1200 minute plan, it's $45 and $35 for a 300 minute plan, but all with unlimited text and data.
  6. Funny, Joe Block was interviewing Michael Wacha on pregame last night and mentioned The Muppets. Asked Wacha if anyone does the Fozzy "wocka" (spelling?) to him and also mentioned Scooter Gennett. Thought of this thread right away.
  7. I just did this two weeks ago. First year it's $52/month without movie package, which you get free for first 3 months. My rate is lower because I also used a referral to save $10/month for 10 months. Plus I have another friend who's going to sign up and use my referral to save us both an additional $10/month. I know this was about ATT, just wanted to chime in.
  8. Any August dates going to be added beyond the 3 Friday games?
  9. Saw Social Distortion at Summerfest on Sunday night. They're a band I've always liked, but the timing never worked out to see them live. Glad I finally got the chance.

  11. Absolutely. This is a big issue. Most of the vendors/reps do so many stores in the area that their main concern is getting product on the shelves and moving on to their next account.
  12. I still do, just not in Madison. Just started my 26th year with the company. Dates are a big issue and we do try and avoid having outdated items on shelf. We now have a person who goes through the store and does nothing but check product dates. You've probably seen stickers above the shelves with months/day labels, that determines when a section gets checked. One of the biggest issues we have is constant turnover on 3rd shift, who do the majority of the stocking. We are very cautious in my department as we have short turnaround on many things. It's something we are very conscientious of but sometimes we miss things, get short codes on delivery, etc., but we are trying.
  13. I see tornado watches are issued for Jefferson and Walworth til 9 PM tonight.
  14. I think what I really meant was Angel Salome.
  15. Lou Palmisano was going to be the answer to our catching prayers...
