  1. hart and dillon are my top two, and since this is a late inning hypothetical, dillon would actually probably be available. i would be most comfortable with him up there, he has a great approach at the plate. since he's been up here, he doesn't swing at bad pitches, and he makes good contact. he gets the bat around quick and hits the ball sollid a lot of the time. maybe its his age, or maybe its due to the fact that he finally has a shot in the bigs and wants to make sure he's patient. hell, maybe he just looks good compared to the free-swinging youngsters and "johnny one-pitch" (i can't believe he called himself that). but corey is among the league leaders in hitting with risp. he's definitely #1.
  2. i don't know if anyone has mentioned, but you can add 12 innings to yo's 2006 total due to the Souther League playoffs
  3. it came on during the game, initially saying struggling, then slumping,or vice versa
  4. "Dunn to Milwaukee rumors are just that, "Dunn." Not as in Dunn deal, but not Dunn... not happening. I called Cincinnati's Radio 1530 studio line and they haven't heard any speculation regarding Dunn to Milwaukee." on their website they address the rumor, so they're @#%$. that lance guy mentions it
  5. wish the game was on tv so i could see who's in the bullpen
  6. wssp did mention it again about ten minutes ago (12:50 cent) just to say there is speculation of wise and prospects for dunn. i'm doubting this happens...not only do we weaken the bullpen (albeit temporarily) and get a glut in the of again. obviously it would mean more moves, but i don't believe it yet.
  7. they really are doing a number on their roster, and have been non-stop since last off-season. that can't be good for team chemistry. i would think thats an advantage to us, having had the same guys around the whole time, with minimal changes
  8. i agree that hardy looks a bit injured. any time that he has to flat out run it looks like he's hobbling somehow. i can't figure it out yet, but to me its plain as day. the glass in the foot reference isn't far off...he just looks like he can't run full speed at all.
  9. well i guess they've only given up one run in the last 16.2 innings, the tbow solo shot, so i guess thats pretty good
  10. lee drops appeal, will serve. i wonder why, http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif sports.espn.go.com/mlb/ne...id=2941084
  11. In response to Cordero probably not coming back next year, I'd disagree. I've heard him say that here in Milwaukee the Crew are poised to not just maybe win this year, but win for a number of years. And not just win, but win World Series. I know players more often than not try to see what they can get, but with that in mind I'd still say the odds are on him coming back.
  12. i am absolutely stoked for the homerun derby. i can just see prince planting bomb after bomb in the bay. they do say he puts on a show in bp. anyways, excited about the game too. i'd love to see a 6-3 jj to prince groundout, or how bout jj pull an unassisted double play. plus it means something to us potentially, so its exciting. still think its @#%$ and i know ill be pissed if the NL loses
  13. turnbow and wise both have had the ugliest goatees....they don't cover too much of the chin yet they are really long and point out in a weird direction. whatever works.
  14. thats unbelievably impressive to me that he can pitch with parkinsons, no matter how much he's feeling the effects. i just found a new player to like.
  15. i think its getting to be rediculous. they boo after half the walks we give up, let alone any bad play. its like they expect the crew to be the perfect every time. what don't these people get about baseball (life?). my hope is that the guys are tough enough that it doesn't bother them. if it were me, part of me would be upset, but part of me would want to prove em wrong. thats just me though
  16. "I'm not sure if anybody was watching, but I caught a foul ball tonight. Berkman hit one to the upper deck along the 1st base line, and it bounced off the terrace level and came right to me. I caught it on a fly, and the whole crowd cheered. If anybody was wondering if the big red head with the Milwaukee's Best shirt was me or not, it was." I saw him hit it and saw it bounce down, but couldn't see the catch. heard the reaction though. nice job. hell of a game. by far the most exciting inning i've ever been a part of at MP
  17. this isn't nerveracking as hell or anything
  18. so who can explain the difference between an uncontested steal and fielder's indifference
