  1. Going with a group tomorrow in two cars. One has a preferred passes and other does not. I was wondering if any one got there early enough to purchase a preferred pass? I think we got there 45 minutes after the lots opened for the first game and they were already holding the sign for pass holders only.
  2. 1-0 Win with Estrada going 5 innings, I'll take it!!
  3. he is a little faster than Mark Kotsay...thanks Craig for that
  4. We don't know what the long term plan is. They may ride the k-rod/axford duo for a couple of weeks. Rest everyone else until August. At that point maybe he starts letting the starters go deeper. Like I said if they keep pitching like this it is hard not to save everyone else at the expense of two guys. It is a good problem to have to say the least because it means they are all pitching well. Two factors that make me believe Marcum should have been pulled, while I felt strongly Narvy should have been kept in: 1) KRod/Ax didn't pitch yesterday and have Monday off. So they should be fresh over the next few days. 2) Nrcy was cruising more than Marcum, who was giving up a lot of fly balls the last couple innings, including a HR and near HR. RR is in a no win situation. He lets Narv in and Narv blows up like he seems to do we get after him for that. At this point in the season I subscribe to if you warm a guy up you use him. I think that helps keep everyone a little more fresh. You got more than you expected at that point out of Narv and Marcum. Use the weapons you have and get the win. Which RR seems to think involves K-rod/Axford duo. Right now it is very hard to argue with given the results (Wins and rest for and over worked bullpen prior to the K-rod trade).
  5. You don't use him in every situation he is available because then at some point in time he isn't going to be available. Like I said. I don't think its a terrible situation to use him in. I just think you let Shaun start the inning and if anyone gets on base you bring him in. No need to burn him with Marcum cruising when who knows when we are going to need him next. 6. Only 90 pitches and the bottom of the order coming up. Why would they do that?If the back end keeps pitching well it's hard to argue with. It keeps the starters fresh.
  7. You barely notice Joe West when he is behind the plate.
  8. or ask him why he has been taking 3-2 strikes while running to first?
  9. I agree that I don't see Boras accepting arbitration. I also don't think K-rod hired Boras with the intention of accepting. He is looking for one last pay day.
  10. But neither of these apply to Gamel. Correct. I was just trying to answer your question about if they could be on the 40 man roster and traded. If this article is correct and those are the only two ways a player on the 40 man is a PTBNL, we can be assured it's not Gamel. Otherwise he would have been named already.
  11. Looks like we are getting 5 mil from the Mets. http://twitter.com/#!/Joelsherman1/status/91014033792176128
  12. I'm guessing we won't know the players for a while. I think they have 6 months to name the PTBNL. It will be a lot like the CC trade where we give them a list of players and they decided after the Minor League season has finished as to which ones they want.
  13. Josh Wilson has a little Troy Glaus in him the way he swings.
  14. How does it allow his glove to be closer to the base? He stands with his chest towards the pitcher and has to make a 180 degree turn in order to apply the tag. As far as opening up a big hole, like I said I understand a left handed hitter but why not play on the base with a right handed guy up? To me the amount of balls that are hit to him over the course of a year does not warrant the extra lead a runner can take when he is positioned this way. It gives them the extra step to steal, score from 1st on a double, or go 1st to 3rd on a single. The vast majority of time those plays are bang bang and allowing an extra couple of feet makes no sense.
  15. A couple of them that are being left out are The Hart Foundation The Von Erichs The Heenan Family The Corporation The Ravens nest The Brood Legacy Nexus Dungeon of doom bWo My top five would be 5) Hart Foundation WWE 4) The Heenan Family WWE 3) DX WWE 2) The Four Horsemen WCW 1) nWo WWE To me the top 4 are in a class of their own. They changed wrestling and how the story lines played out.
  16. When there is a runner on 1st base Prince stands a couple of feet on of the base. If there is a throw to first he has to spin around to his glove side to apply the tag. I can't figure out for the life of me why he takes this position or why the coaching staff has not corrected this with him. The further he stands away from the base the further the runner can also get off of the base. I might understand it a little if there was a left handed batter up but he does it all the time. The brewers will never has a pick off at first as long as Prince stands this way. If anyone out there can justify why he does this I would love to hear it
  17. Just saw on TV a guy with a T-shirt that read "True to My Crew" in Blue. I searched all over the web for that shirt and all I could find was a "True to my Crew Since 82" shirt. Just wondering if anyone knows where I can find the first on in blue? Thanks for your help in advance.
  18. Think there was a guy at 2nd. I'm sure they play there so he can't walk into 3rd by stealing it. We all know McGehee is not going to win any foot races
  19. That's weird, I talked to our rep yesterday and they said there were no family sections on opening day? Just hope we don't get there to find everyone is wrong.
  20. Was excited to get ours too this week, but we have a problem. They put us in the kohls family section in level 300. Is there still the no drinking rule on opening day? Can't imagine they sell too many tickets to families on this day?
