I Heart Brewers

The emotional attachment some have to these decisions is disturbing. Plenty of time left for moves this offseason. This deal is way to risky for a team like the Brewers. Has Stearns not earned a level of trust with the fanbase? He's not perfect but if you told me when he was picked up as GM that they would have had the early success that they had I would be thrilled. Let it play out.

Just watched 'The Expanse'. That was the best show I've seen in a long time. Every season builds on the next. Characters and narrative are great. Highly recommend.

Operating income is income before non operating expenses (marketing, depreciation, interest, etc.) and taxes. It's not Net Income. Typically Net Income includes those additional expenses. Profit can mean mean many things. Need more information to determine what profit is in this case. They may mean net income but I doubt that would be made public.

I know age isn't a great excuse, but I think we forget that he's only 24. Some immaturity is probably expected. I wonder if the Brewers have a behavioral therapist that works with the team. Baseball is such a mental game. Season is long. Seems like a no brainer.

If they trade for him and he walks in the off-season do they get the comp pick? I forget the rules on that. Has to be on the roster the entire season?

I don't think it's that they hate it so much as that is where the advertising dollars that keep them employed live. GO CREW!

Still early but this is exciting. Keep mining those outlets for serviceable position players Mr. Stearns. I mean if Thames, Peralta, and Feliz keep this up they could net some decent prospects, correct?

Smith, Jeffress, Thornburg. Sterns got lucky these guys were traded before injury/substance issues. I hope there are a few more that can be flipped before the end of the season. Although, I don't think any currently on the roster have the kind of appeal the former three had.

I care about the man vs. machine part but even more; Crawford. That guy is just a vile human being. He sounds like the most unhappy person on the planet. How does someone like him ascend to the post of MLB umpire? I truly think his kind are going to be extinct soon. Anyway, traditions change. Who knows what the game will look like in 20 years but I do think there will be more algorithms in scouting, replays, and machines calling balls and strikes. Inefficiencies work their way out of most systems eventually. It's inevitable. Finally, nobody goes to a game because ''X' is umping today'!
