  1. Series Over. Why did Marcum start again? Why is he still in?
  2. Glad it worked http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  3. As always, make sure that you're familiar with the board's language policy. It's your responsibility to preview posts to make sure the language you use doesn't get caught in the cuss filter. Also, intentionally misspelling or using abbreviations to avoid the filter violates the rules. As language violations are strikes, it would be a good idea to review this section. And as a reminder, note that three forums have additional rules (Major Leagues, In-Game Threads, and Trading Post). They're stickied in their respective forums. The In-Game Thread rules have been revised this year. You'll want to take a moment to read them. Additionally, several forums have FAQs to help you get around. It's been suggested by some that the moderators are all too eager to wield their authority. I can speak for those who moderate when I assure you that nothing could be further from the truth. We'd be very happy to simply read the material posted on the forums and talk some baseball. However, we do feel strongly about maintaining the integrity of the board. As hawing stated last year, "Our approach to forum conduct has helped build a community that is highly regarded among Brewers employees, families of players, and (by now) thousands of members who love the Brewers and follow them closely." Thanks for your time and attention... and, of course, Go Brewers! 1992casey Brewerfan Usability Director I agree
  4. Looks like the brewers have just decided to choke a little bit later this year. Corey Hart is right...this team plays really loose on the road.
  5. It was funny listening to Bill defending Yost's lineup. It makes sense to have the LF bat 3rd
  6. I don't like that they are bringing it in mid-season, if they are going to do it it should be at the beginning of the year, it would be like the NBA saying we are moving the 3 pt line back right before the playoffs. That is pretty poor analogy. If baseball changed the distance between base paths, than maybe your analogy would have merit. Allowing replay on homerun calls doesn't actually effect the way the game is being played.
  7. I disagree. The correlation is obvious; there is a distinct trend between low walk rates and Outside Swing Percentage. Then why is the correlation factor so low?
  8. That is a pretty weak correlation. It is basically irrelevant.
  9. This has been such an terrible season as a fan. It seems like the wins we do have we barely hung on and we have had a bunch of terrible losses.
  10. I agree that there should be moderation because things get out of hand, but there reaches a point where it is overkill and I think this board is near that point. The only reason I mention this is because while there is a lot of great information here, there seems to be a lack of "fun" threads.
  11. I think you guys need to take it easy on all the moderating of the boards. I have never seen a board that has so many locked threads and such up-tight posting. Also, having a long thread about one topic gets annoying because most don't want to try and skim through it.
  12. Wow would it be Skaalen's fault? Haven't you heard Bill Schroeder gush about the world class instruction these hitters are getting? Also, what about brian telling us about how Skaalen never shows emotion and that somehow is a great trait for a hitting coach to have.
  13. How about we just forfeit the games that Bush is supposed to pitch in for the rest of the year? We aren't going to win anyways and this way the players get some rest so they can try and win the other games.
  14. He wasn't an innocent bystander. Sure he probably did mean to hurt him, but many people get hurt when someone decides to do something stupid. Reed Johnson had no chance of being safe and made a stupid move.
  15. If it was completely torn when the injury happened then that is probably true, but it isn't like Melvin would really be quoted saying that it is Yost's fault for keeping Yo out there.
  16. Weeks isn't a journeyman scrub. Reed Johnson is and therefore when they refer to help playing hard, it probably just means he is dirty. Truthfully, I don't think he was trying to cause problems, but he needs to think before he does reckless things. He wasn't going to be safe so what was the point of trying to create a dangerous situation?
  17. I think the problem is that the brewers could count on one pitcher injury because of the depth with Bush. The issue is that we have sheets in the rotation so the loss of gallardo means it is only a matter of time until we are trotting Weaver to the mound.
  18. Agreed. What the hell was Reed thinking? He is a scrub and should have just accepted the fact he was going to be out. How about the brewers call up some journeymen scrubs to start sliding at Derrick Lee's knees.
  19. I think Turnbow may have just moved into the "needs to find a new career" category. They should put Yost in that same category for letting Turnbow pitch
  20. I think the cubs take the division by atleast 5 games as we struggle to even finish at .500 which will lead to the firing of Yost.
