  1. My husband and I were talking about this last night when Braunie came to bat and I mentioned that Braun was having a good season despite his injuries. And we agreed that his thumb was the main reason behind his power loss, and that he had made the kind of adjustments an elite player would make in order to compensate for it with extra base and opposite field hits (okay, we didn't really agree, but my husband nodded as if I had said something very profound...he loves the Crew but is not nearly into baseball as I am). I suppose the only outstanding question is whether the thumb will heal enough for him to regain that power swing, but I'm not that worried. He gets it done. So there, Buster. I just fixed your article in two minutes of conversation with another Brewers fan.
  2. Wolf really needs to get over whatever issues he has with Luc. As I told a friend, if Wolf is pitching the last day of the year and Luc is close to some sort of batting milestone and he is benched because Wolf can't play nice, I'm staging a sit-in. Seriously, our worst pitcher should not be able to tell the manager that one of our best players has to sit when he takes the mound.
  3. I would LOVE to see MLB in San Antonio but we would desperately need a new stadium. Most of the population is to the northern part of the city/county (or gradually moving there) and the stadium is a rough drive for folks who aren't that interested in minor league ball. And...suffice it to say, it is not in a great area and the stadium is very rarely full except on dollar night. We go all the time but it's at least a 45 minute drive without traffic. Now, we get ourselves a brand new stadium or stadium plan and we're in business. After all, we're the seventh largest city in the country. We're more than the Spurs.
  4. I have been struggling with whether or not to cut him form my fantasy teams... He just sits there on my bench and takes up a roster space. I can't do it. Not only do I start him every game, but I can't bench him for fear he'll get hot. Fortunately one of my leagues measures OPS so he's not totally killing me. But in my other league they measure OBP and errors so.....I'm lucky I have a good pitching staff, LOL.
  5. Glad you posted this interview. Always loved FCat, particularly because he does share my love for The Outfield. Our daughter is only two but I am getting her an inscribed copy from his website. It's never too early....
