At first glance I really don’t like this trade or this off-season in general. I was hoping we would add some established players and grow from our core but trading Durbin seems like such an odd move. I hope I’m completely wrong and the young guys added are awesome.
I don’t love it on the surface. He pitched good this year but his body couldn’t hold up. The fact that he may make $32 million next year is kind of crazy to me.
I just get the feeling there’s more to it than this. It’s more than a little bit of OPS and he’s a former all star that is known as a clubhouse leader and we are paying him a lot of money. I don’t buy that explanation
I was super negative about the trade deadline along with a lot of other fans. I’ve decided to move past this, be more positive and hope the magic continues the rest of the season and leads us to our first ever World Series title! Go Brewers!
I mean you’re leaving out the fact the sub reliever has a very lengthy injury history and has been on the IL twice the past month with a forearm strain. The odds of him helping us seem very low. Hope I’m wrong
