  1. Thanks Blingster!! Thats what I was looking for.
  2. What song does Dave Bush have on when warming up before the 1st inning? Hard rock.
  3. Ryan Braun playing CF would be a joke. He barely makes it in LF. A strong defense would improve the Brewers pitching staff. Braun in CF would make the defense far,far worse.
  4. Ken Macha Candidate for the job when Ned got it. Successful track record. Not connected to '82 Brewers.
  5. Agree with Doug Jones 100%. I am a season ticket holder and see most games. When the booing grows, it usually because the fans are frustrated by Ned's lack of action and stubbornness. That sure is the case in the areas where I sit, and I move around a lot. It comes out as against the individual player, but most of the time I dont think it is. I think the dislike for Ned runs deep and leads to fan frustration. Over-consumption of alcohol is a huge factor. Way to many "out of it" drunks out there after all the tailgating etc.
  6. Makes for good conversation but I think it's a minor factor for the season long outcome. Pitching is sorely lacking. Regardless of Hall, Counsell, Hardy, or anyone, we arent gonna make a climb of any consequence until we have better, more consistent pitching. The Mets line-up today was pathetic. That we couldnt win that game is frustrating. Put whoever you want at short, its really secondary.
  7. Peavey Some people while defending their opinion, feel the need to demean people with a disenting opinion. It is their problem not yours. Ry Dogg I agree with the line-up. A change is needed for many reasons. Also . . . . I believe (not 100% sure) Counsell was a regular SS in the minors. While it is different, it's innings in the pro game, and it helps.
  8. MachMeister I dont agree. That was a very hard throw to handle. Hopped way to close to Bennett. On line but in a very tough spot. I cant fault the catcher there. Clark has made a number of very poor throws this year, usually off the line, no where close.
  9. I agree Briggs that it was a poor decision to bat OB. Cox might have let Maddux hit b/c he would have a more than reasonable belief that Maddux would shut down Cincy for another 2 innings. Yost has no logical reason for thinking OB would do that. He should have been pinch-hit for period. While it may be too simple to say a hit puts the game away at that time . . . .it's fair to say it would have greatly changed the complextion of the game. I know the Brewers are operating w/ a thin bullpen, but if Yost manages to win the game he is playing, and not worrying about the next one, they MAY have split this series.
  10. Peavey I agree completeley. Why do you think that is ?? IMO it's because wev'e dispatched all the quitters and guys who play with no heart. Now if we could get some stronger starting pitchers . . . . . .
  11. 2 incredible games in a row!! Fun to be out there. The small crowd was in to thegame, enthusiastic and had a great time. A lot of posters on here all winter have been demeaning the "battler", "gritty" mentality that Yost, Melvin seek but here it's paying off. This team has HEART, a non-measurable attribute that has helped them to stay in and pull out these games. There is NO WAY Sanchez, Hernandez, et al could ever pull this stuff off b/c they had no heart . .talent or not, those guys quit! This is not a miracle team going to the WS. The pitching is far too shaky. But I think what is happening now is important, especially to the young players. Hopefully more people get out there.
  12. I'm not. Unless he plays really cheap. Im not sure about the $. Also, the team may have contacted his agent and we just dont know about it. And Sanders, like many others, may not want to be here. I would think at this point in his career, Sanders would like to be on a contender. I don't think Sanders would make enough of a difference anyway. Grieve was sort of low risk, and if long term he can't bounce back, we still have Clark, Ginter, and a few minor league options to play RF.
  13. I also read that the minor league rotation fell so that Saenz would be the gut to get this start. Just timing . . .nothing more. But when you ask how Hendrickson feels, I hope the answer is motivated. Motivated to pitch well, prove himself further, and be ready when his number is called. Nothing brings out the best in a preformer like competition.
